its true coke has been around fo a very long time even earlyer then that, the indians back in the 14 hundreds up untill i dont know when used to cary aroung the leafe and chew on it they even had a special pouch for it.

but coke use in north america never made it big till the 70s i mean its like amphetimines like speed back then they were around just they never blew up. i mean the rave and club scene made speed big. the question back then was who do u know whos done coke, the question now is who dont u know. its kinda sad.

there might be like a similatity in the amount of people using drugs back then and now, but the chances are there are more people who do potentialy more harmful drugs now then before.

evelution of drugs is a good topic.

I know a lot of people who haven't done coke.

But it's still a pretty common drug and for some bizarre reason is accepted in many social circles and even seen as a sign of affluence by some misguided people.

the differences i've noticed is the same as everything else...it's all been done so we need to be more extreme

now people don't just smoke a joint, they mix k with speed and mushrooms and e and booze and acid....wtf? It's like a "look how fucked up i can get" challenge.

guess what? You may want to save some of those brain cells for later and i can say that from experience.

experiment but be smart doing it

there's experimentation that is informed and where you are actually looking to see the degrees to which reality can be altered. and when you've seen you move on. this also involves knowing yourself and your limits.
and then there's escapism, you're looking to escape yourself because you don't know who yourself is and you binge on anything that you can get your hands on. uppers and downers and hallucinogenics? sure why not, let's just get so fucked up that we have no memory or responsiblity later on of anything we've done.
lame
and then there's sobriety. you don't need substances to have fun.
i think all kinds of people have existed in all times. the drugs may be different but the choices still have to be made.

religions can be a drug, a little hope, false promises to help one cope with life.

they stuff religion dogma down ur throat as soon u can learn to talk.

With drugs, unless ur weak will, u made a conscious decision to take it. U can't be ready for it, there is no training school for recreational substance use. its how u deal with it aftermath that will alter ur perception.

I think the original topic of the thread has been abandonned...it started with talking about the new generation and their drug use.
Okay, so a lot of us do drugs on this board, but the thing I`m noticing lately about some younger crowds is like someone else said...they don`t care what they`re doing, they just want to get fucked. I think that doing drugs in themselves is okay as long as it`s in moderation, and as long as you keep in mind what you`re doing in life, whether it`s working, or going to school...noone`s occupation should be `drug user`. I find that younger teenagers don`t often have the knowledge or the will power to do drugs responsibly. It`s all about knowing what you`re doing to your mind, as well as your body, and keep focused on the more important things in life, your relationships, your family, your education, your work, whatever, but knowing that drugs aren`t that important.

sorry for preaching...I have a 16 year old friend who`s recently started doing coke, and acid, and shrooms on a regular basis...it`s ruining her life. It`s a sad story...I wuv you guys... Keep it safe :)

i think your ready for drug, wen you are informed
and strong enought to say "that's enought"
i start doing drugs (smoking joint) at 14 years old....
but i have been informed and my sister was there and she was taking care of me...
at 14 i was like: i whant to try extacy and speed!
my sister told me about it...
so now well informe i decide to wait until i feel ready
and i did feel ready at 16 but i was triping whit moderation, like 1 extacy per 6 months...
and i think it's the bether thing i have done!!

i think noting is bad if you don't abuse..

it shouldnt be a question of age pertaining to when you get involved with drugs or when you start experimenting.

my concern would be the age you start getting OUT of drugs.
