I'm glad I got off the gabber bandwagon... and frankly there's quite too much gabber in Montreal, just look at StoneKrew (ha).
Endurable dutch/italian stuff: Meagashira (cheesy but has moments) Ophidian (the same) Promo D'Spyre (old but better than most) Noize Suppressor/DJ Bike (Promo-sounding) Armageddon Project (noisy and technoid, but catchy) Catscan this is getting boring hope this helped |

Would you really want a hardcore club? Where anybody, including rappers and clubkids, can just walk in and fuck up your hardcore scene? |

Why fuck up a scene ?
Why should hardcore still be kept only for the underground ? I think everybody should be exposed to hardcore At least once. Because you either Hate it or love it. |

Forget it, even the most commercial form of eurogabber would never make it here. If it's not funky, it won't work in America. |

why not ?
Why have such a negative attitude about it. I've seen clubbers at hardcore parties having fun and dancing. If the Hardcore scene is big in europe i don't see why it wouldnt be big here. |

if anyone loves hardcore, it's me, but i think it should be kept underground. if people wanna know more about it, they'll come underground. we wouldn't wanna ruin such a good thing. |

ya but the more pople who go undergroud...the more of the chanc eof commercialize... look at any given example..a perfec tone would be house.... |
Good [+1]Toggle ReplyLink» da_instagatah replied on Mon Aug 26, 2002 @ 2:11am |
good for the house scene...whatever, you keep it underground and it has a chance of commercilizing...you commercialize it, and well it's commercialized. i say to hell with it all. leave it be. let the scene go where it wants to. the people will do what they want. if it's meant to be commercialized, then that's the peoples choice and that's what will happen. remember, it lies in the peoples hands to do what they want with it. it wouldn't be a scene without the people... |

Whats the big deal about the whole commercializing it ? Does it really matter ? I mean it will always be hardcore. |
Good [+1]Toggle ReplyLink» da_instagatah replied on Mon Aug 26, 2002 @ 2:47am |
Actually, there is no big deal, that's kinda what i was trying to say. even if the scene changes, the music won't. Or at least it shouldn't. and ya, eurogabber is good... |

So why not be able to hear it whenever you want.
I want to be able to goto a "hardcore club". Hardcore when ever you want it. And not have to wait like once a month for a party. |

ya, but i can tell you now that alot of the hardcore kids wouldn't like that too much...i think that would be cool, but i don't think a hardcore club would stay afloat. the scenes not big enough. |

i think a lot of people who like "underground" music like it because it's a smaller scene and to them it's more "elite" because not many people listen to it as opposed to pop for example. although it may suck to have to wait once a month for a hardcore party, that is sometimes what makes it even more exciting and special, the anticipation and the build up. going to a club gets so boring and repetitive. it would be nice to hear hardcore whenever you wanted but i don't think there is a big enough commercial demand for it to keep the club open for long, as sad as that may be. |

Personally, I think if you wanna listen to Hardcore all the time, download some Manu Le Malin, burn it, get a discman, and listen to it everywhere. That's what I think. I wouldn't be down with a Hardcore club too much, and I wouldn't support it either. I dunno, it could be something to think about if you really wanna though, but I'd rather wait once a month or whatever it is. |

What we need is a club like in Hackers. Good electronic music all the time with diffrent theme nights. Have a dance floor, a bar, some food, a chill area where the music isn't too loud, maybe computers for customer use. I've had an idea like that floating in my head for ever. Or a club similar to the one in Hellraiser 3. |

Nay, that sounds terrible. I dunno, maybe if you're into the club scene that's alright...but I'm into the good ol' fashioned RAVE scene. |
