I had no idea this discussion revolved my DJING lol...which by the way I havent mentioned ONCE in this thread, so I have no idea where the hell you pulling this shit from.

But nice attempt to create some dj drama, however what you dont know is that me and Steve have been good friends for over 15 years, I was actually one of the first guys to book him back in 1997. He's an amazing guy and an amazing dj. So nuff respect

Not that any of this has anything to do with Wallstreet, but thanks for bringing it up ;)

Official Statement from Occupy Wall Street - this statement was voted on and approved by the general assembly of protesters at Liberty Square: Declaration of the Occupation of New York City

As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together. We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.

As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power. We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments. We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.

They have taken our houses through an illegal foreclosure process, despite not having the original mortgage.

They have taken bailouts from taxpayers with impunity, and continue to give Executives exorbitant bonuses.

They have perpetuated inequality and discrimination in the workplace based on age, the color of one’s skin, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation.

They have poisoned the food supply through negligence, and undermined the farming system through monopolization.

They have profited off of the torture, confinement, and cruel treatment of countless nonhuman animals, and actively hide these practices.

They have continuously sought to strip employees of the right to negotiate for better pay and safer working conditions.

They have held students hostage with tens of thousands of dollars of debt on education, which is itself a human right.

They have consistently outsourced labor and used that outsourcing as leverage to cut workers’ healthcare and pay.

They have influenced the courts to achieve the same rights as people, with none of the culpability or responsibility.

They have spent millions of dollars on legal teams that look for ways to get them out of contracts in regards to health insurance.

They have sold our privacy as a commodity.

They have used the military and police force to prevent freedom of the press.

They have deliberately declined to recall faulty products endangering lives in pursuit of profit.

They determine economic policy, despite the catastrophic failures their policies have produced and continue to produce.

They have donated large sums of money to politicians supposed to be regulating them.

They continue to block alternate forms of energy to keep us dependent on oil.

They continue to block generic forms of medicine that could save people’s lives in order to protect investments that have already turned a substantive profit.

They have purposely covered up oil spills, accidents, faulty bookkeeping, and inactive ingredients in pursuit of profit.

They purposefully keep people misinformed and fearful through their control of the media.

They have accepted private contracts to murder prisoners even when presented with serious doubts about their guilt.

They have perpetuated colonialism at home and abroad.

They have participated in the torture and murder of innocent civilians overseas.

They continue to create weapons of mass destruction in order to receive government contracts.*

To the people of the world,

We, the New York City General Assembly occupying Wall Street in Liberty Square, urge you to assert your power.

Exercise your right to peaceably assemble; occupy public space; create a process to address the problems we face, and generate solutions accessible to everyone.

To all communities that take action and form groups in the spirit of direct democracy, we offer support, documentation, and all of the resources at our disposal.

Join us and make your voices heard!

*These grievances are not all-inclusive.

Apologies for wall of txt.

P.S. Bliss, out of all the adjectives I could use to describe your interventions on here, "intelligent" really isn't on top of the list.

My humble opinion anyway.

Numbers are kept on computers, you can camp out all day long with a sign on the street, dosent affect that computer sitting in the bank.

Ironically, with alot more financing, this whole thing would work out alot better :p

I was gonna make a joke about profiting by selling t-shirts and stuff, but after 2 minutes of research, shit actually exists ... 25$ a pop o_O

... so what I thought would be a funny joke, is actually a sad reality.

Anyway, Power to the People! ;)

hey there everyone,

hope you are well,

latest news and information points

-the movement is growing, people are trading stories of occupations opening up around the globe, latest most interesting ones have been the ones that have opened up in South Korea and Japan, with occupy Seoul and Tokyo pages on Facebook which if they come (or already have come) to fruition they will be the first ones in the asia pacific region to open up.

-i believe there are 50+ confirmed active occupations going on in cities around the world,

-on the other side of the pacific all of California is aflame with revolution with every major city from san fransico to san diego with it's own occupation (so that's san francisco, oakland, san jose, sacramento, san diego and of course the big one in LA). My friend Anna Luissa Dagnault (who some of you may know) is on the ground at the occupation in Oakland and she will give me updates as she can, i will pass these on to you as I can.

that's all the info i have now, here is a good breakdown of what's going on by Dr Tarpley on the jeff rense show for about 45 mins, it's a little dated ( a week old ) but it's still good , he goes through the historical precedents of this movement and broadly the nature of the general strike, worth a listen,

put it on while you check your email or play plants v zombies...

can be found at [ tarpley.net ] #3 posting on the front page, also at [ rense.com ]

Occupy Wall Street Needs a Fighting Program to Save the Nation, Not Endless Groupthink

action point for the day: don't let the movement become co oped, we can't have that happen now too much is ridding on this. Stay suspicious of people, especially those who won't come out against the wars and those who either don't have or aren't moving towards concrete demands. You want to fight class warfare? Wars are based on plans (war plans) start making a plan, start making demands and start implementing strikes.
I'm feeling surly right now..

I dunno about you guys, but I've been watching this story quite closely and have been listening to unbiased coverage from NYC radio everyday and this whole thing is absolutely  embarrassing to anybody who legitimately is fighting for a cause.
I'm not going to argue that there are definitely some serious issues at hand, but i don't think a pointless protest without a end game or even a clear motive is going to do anything but cause a tax hike for NY and the recent union involvement is absolutely preposterous.
If these protesters had the slightest bit of education about the issues they are fighting for, the union heads would be lenched the fuck out of there, as the unions send more jobs over seas than any other group in their nation and are lead by huge corporate ceo's that squander money at the same rate as the politicians.
As much as the statement that masa posted is mostly legitimate...
They neglect to offer any solutions to these problems, and until they do, all they are doing is pointing out more problems with the American education system, because the "99%" of these ppl are clearly IDIOTS who can't even agree what they are fighting for.

I'd like urge any of you hippy fucks to please tell me what this group of morons actually want to do to fix all the mixed causes they represent.

Because if it's anarchy they are after I will gladly shoot a hippy in the fucking face to protect my middle class lifestyle.

Notahippyfuck, but yeah, I'm calling for fairer redistribution of wealth. Always have, always will. And I think that's the main underlying cause of these protests.

I'm not greedy. I don't need the latest iPhone 4GS to be happy. But I'm tired of seeing my taxes used to bail out asinine speculators who wanted to play the game and decided it wasn't fair that they sucked at it.

Oh, and you're completely off track about anarchy, but we can def hit that subject over a beer at some point.

Would you gladly shoot a bankster or a corrupt politician in the fucking face to protect your middle class lifestyle?

Cus hippie's and unions are not the problem here, they are actually standing up for their, and your right to a middle class lifestyle.

But if you want to keep on believing that the world is flat (or Wall Street has your back) go right ahead.
