"Our culture and language are being threatened!" is Quebec's equivalent to "DEY TOOK URRR JOBS!" - a thinly veiled excuse to discriminate against everyone that doesn't fit into the mold of what a "Quebec Citizen" should be.
I'm feeling like a drama magnet right now..

Whyyyy can't we go back to bashing Harperrr

Aight, so that article mentions the PQ's current and alleged stand on the language debate. As reported by the Gazette.

... Wow. Doesn't take much to get you guys riled up, dunnit? A newspaper article? One that has had a pro-English/anti-sovereignty stand since its inception?

Your English is safe.
So's my French.
Now g'night.

Major lol @ the language debate.

It's a parents job to make sure his/her kids learn the language. As long as there will be Francos, there will be a french language.

As far as immigration goes, as long as they know either of our official languages it's all good. It's their problem if they have trouble getting by in cities of this province other than Montreal though... It's pretty much the only place in Quebec where someone with zero knowledge of the french language can get by this easily.

Oh and fuck Harper... (and Duceppe too :P )

"It's not Stephen Harper's government, it's the goverment of all Canadians," Liberal MP Dominic LeBlanc told CBC News. "You'd expect this kind of directive to be issued by the ministry of information in North Korea."

*nod*

On a side-note, I didn't expect a typo from the CBC.

Have you ever noticed it's better for you to write in french because no one understands shit when you try to write in english?

It wont happen again dipsh...

Holly fucking shit!!!

"Mel Hurtig, the former elected leader of the National Party of Canada, a noted Canadian author and publisher, and the founder of the Council of Canadians has revealed that senior elected representatives and advisors to the Conservative Party, are currently planning a scheme to dissolve Canada in favor of North American Union. Harper is seeking a majority government (for the 4th time) in order to implement this treasonous agenda."

every organization has policies someone is going to disagree with... personally I see no basis for fearing the US, we share almost exactly the same lifestyle as they do... The only notable difference I can think of is their attitude towards pot and healthcare... but healthcare here fucking sucks so just the pot thing would bug me. Regardless, it's local authorities that police that kind of thing.

Mark my words, sooner or later the world will be under a single common government. There's no way for the human race to survive is we keep fighting amongst ourselves...
