Urgh. Party was really weak for me, my girlfriend, and friends that I brought... except for the paintings.

I doubt Prism Code will ever get my friends back at another event after that one. Pretty disgusting, actually, what with all the smoke.... never thought I'd say that, considering I smoke like a chimney... but anyway, when my girlfriend had an asthma attack, we left. Maybe it was better later in the morning, but way too gross for us between 1-3.
I'm feeling like home right now..

Mr. James Brown .. That's insane.
Smoke .. sure .. it's a rave. Indoors.
Maybe it could have been a bit louder at points .. You can settle that one with the police.
Maybe it was a little packed at the peak .. You are free to find me new venues.
Too many young kids trashed ? I don't control who buys tickets.

I can't possibly think of any other aspects that could make it a shitty party.
Sorry about your girlfriends asthma attack, but it is an indoor rave.
Only solution .. is to have 50-100 people all outside, screaming and flopping around at once which certainly pisses neighboors off.
(As if there already wasn't enough police there)

there used to be psy-trance parties with smoke-free dancefloors and we could actually do the whole breathing and dancing. it was announced on the flyers and everything, so people were really respectful of this. being a non-smoker, i really miss it... coming home with my clothes and hair smelling of incense instead of cigarettes......
but if you were to do this, i guess that the smokers would not see the point, and complain... or maybe not, if there is a place designated for smoking. in most places now people are not allowed to smoke by law, so people are used to it...
but yeah. different views on the same music i guess.

it was the shalom parties mostly that had smoke-free dancefloors.
(and some others)
those promoters really cared about people on another level... :)

Well psytrance has found itself balancing on the fools ledge between spiritualism and savage hedonism. Better to just accept the paradox. The culture, music and environment in my perspective (or at least the one I try to create) has a dark and light side. I accept both.

I care about peoples health and well being .. however I also care that someone tripping out doens't want to freeze their nuts off to have a cigarette. The balance. I do everything I can to create the best environment so people are happy. (Including myself) I smoke .. so go figure.

i know, i totally understand that a promoter that smokes does not really think about making a non-smoking party... especially since the laws in bars and everywhere now ban smokers from public places, for smokers it must be awesome to be allowed to 'be' there lol.

but i don't find it hedonistic at all for me to be surrounded by smokers, i just think it stinks... well i try to ignore it when it gets really bad i'll just wave around an incense stick... does not make the air better but at least the smell goes away.

I don't smoke and I normally really don't like smoky places but I didn't find that there was a lot of smoke at all. I kept on wanting to have more smoke coming from the smoke machine but the projector would have made the room totally white...

first off, my humor is awesome, everyones entitled to their opinion but aren't you supposed to be about peace and love ? ;)

anyway! i dont have time to write this all up so ill follow up apres work esti,

all im saying is, you were grossed out by the smoke ? dude where have u been at.. iunno the past 123123 parties ? i've seen more smoke at other parties than here, u can't tell if they have a fog machine or cancer box.

secondly, think about the organizer, do you really want 95 % of the party going outside all high and shit smoking nonstop ? you think theres noise complaints now just wait if you saw that go down

we were lucky the party didn't get shut down with the shit that happened in front of the cops, n there was only a few people outside anyway im not done but i gotta get ready ill follow up after

p.s so, lets say 10 ppl were unhappy with the party, out of how many who went ? the ratio speaks for itself

I went to a few parties where it was (mandatory) smoke-free dance floor, we smoked indoors but just not on the dance floor, since then I have developed the habit, I most often then not go to the back and smoke and then go back to the center-side to dance... except mary jane, she comes with me every where... Of course that does nothing for the smell...

I hate going outside for a smoke during a rave, at any other time or type of event, I don't mind, but a rave, it's just nice to have everything you want right at my finger tips :p
I'm feeling punkadelic right now..

as far as I found out most of the people were satisfied! I brought like 5 people, everyone were pleased.
No mater if it's a fucking fancy night club or rave, there are always someone who says "party is shit!". I believe it's almost impossible to make every single person to be completely satisfied.
Im none smoker (i can smoke very very rare at parties) and Im pretty much alright when people smoke at indoor raves. Well, ok.. it would have been better if there was a one more separate room for smoke, but still!!!it wasn't that bad actually! I didn't noticed too much smoke.

And yeah! it's not the best idea to go outside after getting sweaty!!! dance safe:)

Most of the people LIKED that rave, so that's the major thing !

and dear Mr.JamesBrown , sorry to hear about your gf but, if you find events like DimX are DISGUSTING you should stay at home next time. Maybe psy-trance raves are just not your cop of tea. :)cheers

drop down your expectations i'm not 'supposed' to be about anything else than being myself. why do you think i'm supposed to be about peace?
it's not my problem if some moronic people shaken you as a baby and it made you retarded............ but please don't perpetuate this.

i am not about peace but i do try to have at least positive actions. that's why i saw, fuck, grow up. you sound like you're 15 years old and laughing at your little brother.

oh, yeah........ wasn't it you asking about PLUR and all that? well people here don't really look to PLUR so well because it is spread by immature people who don't act on their words. you're at this moment being a really good example of that. you think speaking of shaking babies is words of respect? to all the people who know babies that died, to all the ravers that are also mothers, to all the ravers that are dealing with abortions.

it's not funny.

You also tried to steal my money, Vince, when I was doing you favours.

I go out and buy a whole bunch of tickets for friends who tell me they're coming to make sure they come. Some change their mind, I end up with two extra tickets.

So what do I do... rather than annoying you by asking to return both, I GIVE ONE AWAY, at my own expense, so a friend who wouldn't have come otherwise would come and see how wonderful your parties are. He though it was weak and left after an hour.

I have one left over and can't afford to give this one away. So when I go up to you at the party and ask to return it, because the nice gentleman at the door was scared to refund on his own fearing the wrath of Vince or something, you try to give me shit, saying you'll take 10 dollars for it.

Go suck a lemon. You're damned right you took it back for 20 dollars, but fuck you for arguing with me.

You're not going to get this kind of help out of me again 'cause of that, Vince.

And for anyone confused, I love psy-trance raves, and so does my girlfriend. We met at Eclipse, and we fell in love at a psy trance rave last year. This is what we do. But anyway, it's a serious fucking issue when my girlfriend has an asthma attack. It's only happened one other time. She's not a weak, fragile creature by any stretch of the imagination. The situation had to be utterly disgusting to set it off, and it was.

Fucking disgusting party, in my opinion, thanks to the smoke and lack of comfortable space to chill. If you have a problem with me saying that, go fuck your face on an icepick. :-D

That's one of the most retarded things I've heard, Kire. Here's the reason.

Figure, I have an extra ticket...

So what do I do? Wait around the entrance and scalp it for 20 dollars, or give it back to Vince so he can sell it to someone for 30 dollars?

If I scalp it, Vince loses 10 dollars. Here I am trying to do Vince a favour and save myself the trouble of waiting around to sell the ticket at the door, and I'm supposed to feel like a n00b for having an extra ticket?

It's about business! I was doing everything I could to give Vince good business! Yeah, right. Fucking rude service, if you ask me, and 'cause of it, I'm really not keen on giving Vince much business in the future. Certainly not going out of my way anymore.
I'm feeling like home right now..
