i know but again , i need two ten terabyte network accessible storage

and at this point im looking for a rackmount but mostly single external drive with a rj45

considering they make 1.8" drives can go up to 250gb , i would love to see what im looking for in the laptop type drives (2.5" drives) , meaning a 10 tb that can go in a laptop , but thats too soon for the market atm.

an i need two , and tenner is a minimum , i would probably require the next model soon enough

rave porn

kidding , just serves as a black box of a dump of everything that has gotten into a computer for 20 years

remember i test os , the collection is quite large in variety , lots of sources etc , plus my r&d..

fuck im surprised you guise arent even there as a necessity , hd videos fills some space in a jiff nowadays

shure if your isp cap you at 30 gb , this number sound astronomous, but some arent and dump 100-200gb monthly plus anytime i need to rebuild a computer or do forensic on something close to being destroyed i need space to temporary store the client's payload

normal citizen usually can live on a 20 gb hard drive
a user can start from 100 gb to 500 gb
a musician i expect to munch 100gb to 2 tb
and the rest takes is what physically doable.

i gotta be able to keep reinstalling without trashing 6y + of work ppl did on their computer , and put them back in their workchairs unaffected

lol, who keeps porn anyways. really ?

no , i need the space for the transfer work , dude you not supposed to give your old backups or sell them to ppl too..

rainbow tables, old os sources , servicing manuals , just listing the topic i would max out your normal human's superblock.

plus i recently started to image the drives so it doesnt take up a day for each computer i need to put back online , and once its done send it to the other half of my clients drive, this whole process require a lot of space.

A lot of space... But not 20tb... It would take a while to copy 20tb of files, like a couple of days if they are small files.

i said 2 * 10 tb

one backup an other. why you ask you need a scape goat for your next delator move ?

250gb takes me 36 hours in bin mode using ata2 hardware in pata mode , so yea a couple of days, but what i need is not for you to judge as its for my work and i doupt you know a mechanic that store schematics of home electronic or telecom r&d or biochemistry and nano-tech as well . and im not even listing it all

if it helps you ease , i store 10tb .bmp of rage comics i made. and i rage a lot EOF

I still have one 750gig at 40$ and one 500gig at 30$ if anyone still wants. Like normal, half the people who said they would pick it up didn't. Now it's first come, first serve. No holdings...

i dont want to sound like a shithead , but if i dont ask ill never know :

can you provide the smart table values of both drives . i wanna know a little about their uptime history before investing , i wouldnt want a tresh near 0 on the seek errors. or an uptime of 345649848484654365413541

For 10$ extra I will... Post the values you want to see and if you guarantee you will take the drive with those values or better I will do it.

I guarantee the drives are good and will work just fine. I've been using them for about 2 years, I would not be surprised if they are still under warranty with the manufacturer.

The price is so cheap anyways I know they will sell soon.

anything with a tresh above 64 is good. how close are the numbers to 0 , and how much powerone or uptime doest it have . simply that, get mhdd , easy to use , should print out the values in every drive reports.

i wouldnt buy a million mile car. even for an additionnal 10 bucks, anyways you dont wanna give then good luck selling it. ill ask gkillaz oh wait no use its new. basic ethics man

you wouldnt want my drives even a year old due to the workload , and i woudnt sell tem to ppl without at least telling them witch treshold is busted or is about to.
Update » cutterhead wrote on Wed Oct 6, 2010 @ 12:47am
the smart table usually give the tresh used by that drive , some have higher than other.

and i cant coin number if you dont give me that perticular drive tresh and current values.

say you have a "bad realloc count" of a tresh 100 and current 102. then i dont want that drive.

anything lower than the tresh i dont want . i personnaly go as low as <64 but at that point its a memory card, with a life expectancy of -1. i wouldn build an active storage drive for some ppl

also if you played all you mp3 for the last two years nonstop im curious about how does the read seek / drive seek tresh and current values are.

anyways sorry for asking
