I've been to a couple of Bal En Blancs... Good parties... Obviously the people who throw the party aren't cool people and there should be no reason for people to support these guys in the future when they do not support our projects... Especially when some of us have supported their projects.

For all it's worth...

Here are some TIESTO VIDEOS by the PLAYGROUND people who have nothing better to do with their time then cause a ruckus! Santa must have not been nice this year to some people for them to be acting up like this.

A Bad Video Of Sensation Quebec, Check Out All The Cameras. Lots Of Them!!!

Ow And Bal En Blanc... Second Sun With Some Vocals... Since I Know How People Love Vocals...

Did you guys know according to the media at least 12 people were arrested during Montreal's annual Bal en blanc, a marathon dance party. Police said the arrests were for drug possession, as well as drug possession with intent to sell.

Hmm... Boring... Let's see a video!

Maybe you PLAYGROUND people should go after those people who posted a video on Youtube! Antonino put a little video online to promote his movie. I guess it really is the end of the world. Especially since the clips the Playground people are talking about are from a trailer made like 2 years ago!

I still believe what they should have done is come see the video presentation. Then make an opinion about it.

Just like people have copies of these videos. I'm sure people have copies of Antonino's videos and if they get removed I'm sure they will just pop back online somewhere else at some point. It seems to always happen. Just look at all the movies which get released on torrent sites before they even come out in theaters... People love to download stuff and people love to watch movies.

I wonder how many bad videos of Playground events we can find online!

Unlike youtube vidoes, Antonino's video isn't there to make anyone look bad. On the contrary, it makes Montreal look pretty damn good in terms of it's variety of parties which exist.

I for one support his project. Always have and always will and welcome him to film at any of my events in the future. I have nothing to hide... unlike some people who seem to be a little paranoid.
I'm feeling nuclear right now..

IMHO, people should have the right to say NO to being used in a film that may be damaging to their reputation, especially if it is against their will. If concerned parties, be it business owners or event partisans, contacted the producer or director of this film and requested their footage not be included and their requests were not met or even responded to, then injunction may be merited.

To say that people should not be having "fun" in their leisure time in public is ridiculous... even when a person consents to being filmed, they still have the right to reject the recording before it is screened. If a person never consents to being filmed, they still equally have the right to reject the footages use... Google map+street view=faces blurred? sound familiar, anyone????

It does not matter what the intentions of the film maker were in producing this film, what matters is if the film maker respected the process with which it can be assembled and eventually presented. There are tons of laws people may find flawed or completely irrelevant in todays modern times, and though some rules can be bent or broken, re-writing them entirely through a self-inducted creative artistic license, as memorable or as moxy as it may be, most often leads to begrudging failures...

the hard cold truth : chose your battles before you fight, don't bite off more than you can chew, there is nothing professional about an amateur...

Ufot-things like this don't happen by mistake...
I'm feeling happy as a panda with car troubl right now..

yeh - using uncleared footage is a huge no no, it's just pretty lame to go after a venture this harmless and small. So I agree with noah there.

well, it doesnt surprise me they are suing him, hes making a movie, dont tell me he doesnt intend to sell it or to show it publicly, thats bullshit.

hes in canada, there are laws, you cant just film people and then show that publicly without thier written authorization.

if he did it the right way from the beginning, he wouldnt be sued over.

i hope for him i dont appear in his movie either, my asking was always disregarded, i wont be shy to join playground's side.

its not because hes your friend that he can get through the laws.
I'm feeling fidgety right now..

True true true.

I personally have nothing against Antonino and i'd like to see the movie, but hugh, the present situation dosent come off as a surprise to me. By the way, if you want to make the same kind of injunction, it's relatively easy and it wont cost you an arm and a leg.

*agrees with Deadfunk*

Once I got interviewed in the local journal, about a trip to Costa Rica our school was planning.
The journalist took pictures of our group, but a week before, he gave us papers asking for our consent to be in the picture & interview. This also had to be signed by our parents, since we were 16-17 at that time.

Now, some dude filming me in the crowd with a shaky handicam and posting it on Youtube is one thing.
Someone interviewing me and using my name in a semi-professional movie about the Montreal rave scene is more serious, methinks.
I'm feeling / right now..
