Not everyone respects everything I do. Not everyone respects everything that anyone does. I don't see why anyone would loose respect for someone based on them giving their opinions of something. unless you've ALREADY seen the movie I've seen parts of the movie, and so have a lot of people. No one works on a movie for 2 years and does not show anything of it to people. I also have some backups of the movie and so do some other people. In theory I could have posted it online but that would be pointless right now. I want to see what the future will bring before I make any drastic decisions. I'm sure everything in the end will work out and just because the movie is delayed, does not mean it will not show in public very soon. Did he mention AT ANY TIME that this document could potentially be made public ? Like everyone says, the ONF doesn't have a habit of granting money for a PRIVATE film. Yes he told everyone that he was making a film before interviewing them. He also most probably has a lot of people's consent on film since he always started his interviews with "do you want to be in a movie i'm making". Well, if it's not ABOUT Ravewave, the official Pola website (which is still COMING SOON btw) clearly states it stars " the [ rave.ca ] Party People". Now, again, no one's debating WHAT this movie is about more than WHO stars in it without their consent. People who want to be in it are stared in the movie. People who don't have anything to say are not. There are a lot of people on [ rave.ca ] who are in the movie and want to be in the movie. You guys seem to have a problem with that because a couple of you don't want to be in the movie. Despite your commendable romantized view of it, this ain't UCLA, ARPANET or 1969 anymore. In case you haven't noticed, the internet's recipe has changed quite a whole lot in the last 40 years. Nope, the internet is still a means to exchange information. If THAT would've been applied from day one for Pola, we wouldn't be having part of this conversation. Fuck, it takes 10 seconds to ask for consent, is it so hard to do ? He did ask everyone for consent for the movie. Not for the trailers (or music) since those were a mash up of some of his videos he took at different events. Just like a lot of movies people post on Youtube. "POLA - The Movie" is people talking and every single person who talked into Antonino's camera knew he was making a movie and the footage could possibly be in it. People who did not want to be in the movie did not say anything or said they didn't want to be in it. As for the name, once again there is no harm in calling the movie POLA. Period. You guys can say it's immoral or you don't like it but no one can say it can't be called that. |

In crowd shots one can be blurred out. Other than that permission is imperative if one wants to avoid invasion of privacy issues. There should never be a doubt. A professional filmmaker would always protect themselves with written release forms, standard operating procedure. When they filmed the movie "Eldorado" (1995) People were just asked if they wanted to be in it and permission was granted to film in certain locations. If you ask the locale owners/Event organizers, etc for permission to film there, then there is no problem. Do you think any of the crowd at Woodstock even knew they were being filmed? As long as the Organizers of the Festival allowed filming then the producers had official authorization and anything/anyone was fair game. Today with digital cameras/cellphones it seems the lines are blurred with respect to invasion of privacy. It is the Age of Big Brother when we are at risk of being filmed everywhere we go. There are cameras all over. To sum up, I believe that there should be a private screening for all those involved, who then can have some veto over what will be in the final product. I leave it to Antonino to settle this issue once and for all, and make the [ rave.ca ] party people happy... |

It's more of a promotional movie, you don't want that stuff in it... The drug part will be for "PARTY SAFE" the 3rd part... That is where the talk of drugs will be.
