yup! Out of all of them, really only Andy C and Dieselboy is a DJ before being a producer, the rest are producers that got famous with a hit, so people wanted to book them... thanks to piracy, record/tune sales aren't making them anything sizable, so they charge ludicrous amounts to book them..
If they were doing something special.. like not just mixing; live sets, or scratching/beat juggling, or an actual performance of some sort, I could understand the price.. But most of them are just average DJs that just so happen to have access to all the unreleased dubs that are 6 months to a year away from coming out... Give any decent DnB DJ the tunes they have and there would be no difference at ALL between the average out-of-town headliner and the local opener.. | |

I never understood cats who start making some beats on a computer and then walk around like they're some dj superstar...Being a producer does not make you a good dj, it dosen't even make you a dj period lol... Paying to hear a producer dj is often like paying to hear the guitarist from rage against the machine do a dj set You get crappy second rate djing by guys with no experience Update » Blisss wrote on Sun Dec 6, 2009 @ 3:40am Mutante, I was at that show as well, "See The Light" one of my favorite shows ever...Aphex Twin AND Orbital live for $18.00!!!
