omg , i stoped listening to trance in 98, and even i , thats totally out of the trance / goa scene knows there more to that genre than the generic answer you just did.

your pissing on an entire underground you dont even seem to know.

so yea you do you know kamaya painters , but there is like a thousand other artist that can go
from pretty generic trance to hardcore stuff like what Holden would do. (and this is an other genre again that grassed some roots out of well and not so well known artist.

coinning styles names is the most prejudicious attitude you can come up with ,

if the jockey rules, he will surprise you

you could even end up being surprised by an so called EURO TECHNO genre . even if you hate the spew spew and lazers and hoovers.
I'm feeling 4hz even if you dont right now..

If people didnt know what was good, explain to me exactly how Tiesto would be able to spin in sold out events in places like Winnepeg and Edmonton charging 45$ a ticket. Thats what I thought.

are you nuts or what?

people that like tiesto doesnt no shit about trance, tiesto doesnt play trance he plays club/house music

trance is like armin van buuren, above and beyond, ariwave, binary finary, jam X $ de leon's dummonde...

tiesto USED to play/produce trance, like in 1998, now hes just a rock star mixing bad club music.
I'm feeling hardcore right now..

lol kay tracid still produce.

like come on , just brose discogs per - label, and there is MILLIONS of artist out there,

trance is not jones and stephenson,

trance is not dj liquid,

trance is not that or that guy,

trance is a broad definition , that should be taken as such.

hey tiesto started as a "HAHA! NOT! BUT YEA HE DID" hardcore artist,

like i would even say SHITMAT produce trance once in a while.

:) i know , i wasnt saying anything against your comment , quoting your message seemed like i was compaining but im not .

i have soem of kay 12" here , and , even if to me "trance and acid" reminds me of "one night in roxbury" (attitude wise) i have to admit there are way worse production.

and intelligent enought not to blast it out 24/7 on autorepeat :)

i had a hunch after reading myself :P

i generally stoped listening to the any smooth genre, but if i think about the track

" enter the electra world - by the insider - on bonzai / lightning "

this i still listen to this track as of today (mind you i love this trak since 98) and as i coin it as trance being on bonzai and the that time of release ... i still thinks its future music.

not played out, still new (10y still feels new!), so if i get to see an artist that plays theses gold tracks, i would not complain about it being trance.

hehe i forgot to add, i saw tiesto in 03 or something, and honestly , i dont think it was "that" bad

but havent got in for free i would probaly stayed home. just because i have different musical taste than the guy. i have to say that his attitude towards the crowd is way to go. a little like what mistress barbara does : smiling , motivating people.

they dont have to do it, i seen lots of djs that dont even cheer or look at the crowd,

i give him points for that, and would reconsider the ticket anytime id would see an artist not caring at the crowd.

the parelel with jesus is getting deeper and deeper every day. Every day...

Now, I dunno what deadfunk, shlee or cutter has been smoking (although, I think we can all agree that we want whatever it is that cutter's got...cuz thats got to be good shit), but Tiesto is obviously the best trance DJ, not only of today, but of all time.

Not only does he lead the infamous DJ-List rankings by almost 50% over his nearest peer, but he's been named the #1 dj in the world by DJ magazine. So not only is he popular, hes obviously got talent when the brain trust behind names like DJ Magazine through their weight behind him. And what do his peers think of him?...well beatport for one gave him the nod for 2nd best trance artist in 2008.

How does a Dj lacking talent become so popular, win acclaim from the critics, and the respect of his peers? He doesn't. Tiesto has earned everything he has got with his one of a kind trance mixing ability. And if you can't hear it, you don't know trance. Period.

And just to be clear, deadfunk, shlee and cutter...all 3 of you are in the minority, not just on this site, but in the greater electronic music collective. I dunno where you guys get ur views from, but they're way off base. And thats all I have to say about that.
I'm feeling apathetic right now..
