Not really. A laser is a beam of light, quite analog. The difference between analog and digital is that analog is a modulation of the sound on another medium (example : from the needle to the wiring of the TT) while digital sound is a series of processed nnumbers.
It's still analog, but it looks more like if it's been designed for the "normal" consumer than a DJ. Vinyls were used way before djing appeared you know :P |

| im pretty sure inside the player it still transfers the audio data into digial, because, 100% analog things are getting pretty rare (new stuff). |

| to remain analog the signal would have to be transformed from the light beam to analog sound without being sampled (ie. numerized/digitalized)... i don't see how they would do that, but it totally might be possible ! |
