a Montreal doctor and his wife were killed in the attack as well I personally think it was intended to divert Pakistan's troops away from the Afghan front - which is exactly what they are saying they might do now. |

Pakistan's army has been pressured by the US to strike at militants living within their borders. also the US keeps making illegal missile strikes on their soil. this has got a lot of people very upset... they are outraged that the army is attacking it's own people and doing the bidding of the US. the reality is that there has always been a great deal of covert support for the Taliban and the Mujahidin in Pakistan right up to government and army itself. by stirring up this hornet's nest in Kashmir, Pakistan's deeply unpopular "War on Terror" goes out the window just today, they are already threatening to shift their troops away to the Indian front -> [ www.timesdispatch.com ] |
