Reboot was awesome times 1GGB. This show is what made all the american 3D animation houses' heads snap north of the borders. This show literally put Canadians on the map as leaders of the 3D rendering industry at the time. Unfortunately, at the time, it was also limited and the best they could do is make flat surfaces with different colors like green skin and purple hair to make it look " cartoony-ish ". I know, not very appealing, but this show was crack for young male kids and preteens back then. Trust me on this. I know this sounds incredibly geeky but hey I ain't no n00b, nowamsayn' ? ;) |

Reboot was my favorite series when I was growing up. I watched all of it. It was badass. The "future" ones as Shindy calls them were also excellent, though the tone of the series was much different. The two movies were strange.... |

| Coolness: 159130 | Yeah Shindy, that future thing was a bit different than the original show with the original characters Bob, Dot Matrix, Enzo Matrix and Phong :
The future of Mainframe (which was the inside of one computer) had no Bob (he was sent on the internet by the Megabyte, probably the best villain of any kids show. Ever. Followed closely by the demented Hexadecimal). 
That dumb clumsy kid Enzo in the future becomes this major ass-kicker Matrix, inspired by a gazillion action movies and video games 
AndrAla, a goofy-looking mermaidish game sprite ( computer-controller character in a video game ) became a, erm, full-fledged woman 
What I found most interesting was that, although a kids show, it followed the principles of computers pretty closely. Most of the names and terms were actual terms used in computer science ( aside from Bob, of course ). Bob was an anti-virus program. Phong, leader of Mainframe, was a System Administrator ( much like today, the person with the most power and access on a computer ), the character Mouse is a hacker and Megabyte was a virus, which later in the series, becomes a more powerful and more aggressive virus and carries the name of such viruses we know today : Trojan Horse Megabyte. It was every canadian geek kid's wet dream. It was mine for a loooooong time. I really should download the series. |
