If you thought guess appearances from characters like Spawn, Link from The Legend of Zelda or Heihachi from Tekken were slightly out of place, you may want to brace yourself for this one. Darth Vader and Yoda will be playable in Soulcalibur IV. 1UP brings exclusive word today, along with almost a dozen screens of the two jedi fighting well known souls, that at least two members of the Star Wars cast will make their way into Namco Bandai's upcoming fighter. Yes, we're stunned and confused, too. The site drops hints that there's a possibility even more characters from the Star Wars universe could appear—there are no shortage of Jedi and Sith out there—but doesn't provide much beyond a fantasy roster. Hey, it can't be worse than Masters of Teras Kasi and it's definitely better than some godawful Todd McFarlane custom creation. We're heading over to Namco Bandai's Soulcalibur IV CES event in just a bit, so expect impressions and more news to come as soon as possible. | Coolness: 158280 | Soul Calibur 2 had Spawn, Link and Heihachi so it's not the first time a character from another franchise's been integrated to the story but COME ONE.
DARTH VADER. I'm sure Soul Calibut 5 will have Superman, Bullwinkle (from Rocky and Bullwinkle), George W Bush, Popeye and Captain Crunch. If they can get away with Vader, they can get away with everything. Which really scares me. |

Seriously this is completely ridiculous... can you just imagine how much it must have cost to buy the right to put those 2 in there... I have never been a huge fan of the serie but hehe, I think they just "jumped the shark"... RIP SC :p |

| Coolness: 158280 | Still, I have to admit... Soul Calibur was my favorite franchise. And playing Yoda will be interesting. Now if they kept the "create a character mode", this might mean actually being able to create a jedi or sith lord. This can be kinda kickass.
But it makes no sense whatsoever. |

Don't take my critisism the wrong way, it's just I'm really getting fed up with all the star wars thing... Don't get me wrong, Star wars is good, but too much is never good... And well, light saber VS swords... no contest there so, you should automaticaly win no? |

 Coolness: 685635 | Am I like, the only person that totally can't get into those 3D fighting games like Soul Calibre, Tekken and Virtua Fighter? I can't stand them, and their combo systems just seem to promote button-mashing more than actual strategy and learning to time moves for combos..
And seriously, how the HELL is anyone gonna fight agains a light sabre? "regular" Swords? Armor? What the hell is the point, those things are like pure concentrated lazer-on-a-stick that can chop through ANYTHING... Hell they're so strong they REFLECT OTHER LAZERS! I can totally see all of the fights already.. *random SC person swings at Darth Vader/Yoda* *Darth Vader/Yoda blocks* *random SC's sword/weapon falls into 2 pieces* *Darth Vader/Yoda take one swing and split them in half* Or, like.. *fight starts* *force choke untill you die* *eat cake* |

But the cake is a lie 0_o Agree wit Screwhead here... I really prefer 2D fighting game, even if I'm not into fighting game that much... (Still, last time we play mortal combat on SNES(en Dr.N) I had a lot of fun kicking all your asses (asideness on my greatness :P)) |

| Coolness: 158280 | I never really got into the other games (Tekken 3 maybe a bit) but Soul Calibur can be very challenging when you play with someone as interested in combos as you. Then you get into strategies.
As for lightsabers vs swords... those are magical weapons. So, um. Magic blocks lasers? (grasping at straws here) |

 Coolness: 92310 | It will probably be kind of like Link in the game cube version of SC 2. His presence was totally cheating, he had all the advantages of speed, strength, nimbleness and none of the cons. Just because he's Link and he HAS to be perfectly legendary of course. |
