Never.

Look though, I used to listen to a lot of rap. Not HIP HOP, rap. Old school Hip Hop. I dropped that shit when it became " gangsta rap ".

Rap used to show us the dark side of society, the ghettos, the crack users, the poverty.

Then came gangstarism, or " how to solve poverty and ghettos by killing as many white people as possible ".

Public Enemy was filled with rage yes, but never suggested to buy a fucking Glock and " pop a cap up some niggaz asses ".

Obviously Hip Hop cannot be blamed for this death but for fuck's sake, can rappers find some other shit to talk about ? Most of them nowadays have never even spent a full month in a REAL ghetto, much less know what it feels like to live there on a yearly basis.

They AIN'T ghetto and never will BE ghettos. Fuck, they got Benzs, hoes, 40s and a shitload of dead presidents. So what the fuck are they so angry about ? If I was them, I'd sing about being rich, not take a baseball bat to my neighbor's head.

Bottom line, they preach a violence that is totally unecessary and pass it along through music simply to increase sales. They couldn't care shit who gets killed along the line, " as long as you're still alive, buy my album. "

Sad really : so much awesome hip hop underselling out there, overshadowed by all the crappy commercial and " hardcore " one...

I have a feeling that the hip-hop rooms peeps aren't gonna be willing to dress up in suits to get in. They'll lose the people who come for this room, so it will die anyway.

im sorry but this gang shit is bs. You need to be in a gang to have cred??? Look at paul payne. If anyone know the underbelly of montreal you have heard of him. A few years ago he was on the news nationaly. He was having a hold up with a hostage. This guy is a one man army. From what i hear the hell's dont mess with him and let him getaway with things no one else can. They have tried fucking this guy up and he walks away each time. From what i hear everyone is afriad of him. A very own walking gangster version of max payne. Fuck this stupid gang shit. I bet you it was haitian realted with the haiti 67's(the guys on [ st.ca ] with the escalade each one a different colour) who did it. Theyre the ones that are crazy enuff. It doesnt matter if your in a gang or not. The yakuza dont go around beating ppl to death. They settle it like gentlemen. Fred is right its the fucking music. And by that not the music itself but how its fed too the population.

Thats my rant.

Funny how a lot of people think the Hells are barbaric metalheads who don't care shit about people's lives and will gladly off anyone who stands in their way.

I bet you if we were to calculate the fight/kill ration of both groups, the metalhead Hells and Hip Hop listening Ballerz ( if you wanna call 'em that ), the second group would come in first as having the highest percentage.

And it's also the most sadisticly violent one. I mean, Hell's will, at most, drive-by or go execution style. Ballerz will beat up a guy 20 to fucking 1. It's not even the least bit respectful.

PLUS, Hell's will rush you as you come out of your house in the early morning. Ballerz seem to prefer being in a CROWDED CLUB where about 100 witnesses can accurately identify each one of them in a police lineup. Now tell me, how fucking stupid IS THAT ? It's as though they purposely choose the hardest possible conditions to wack a guy off.

I just don't get it. To me it's the same thing as someone who chooses to kill themselves in the metro. Do you have to make sure everyone's lives and evenings are ruined in the process ? Fuck.

As a sidenote, I can't imagine what the guy's girlfriend must've gotten through watching his boy getting kicked in the face and balls by 20 guys.

from what ive heard. The hell's and maddocks and all the other big gamers are keeping quite.
The actually leader of the hell's step dad is the leader of the italian mafia now supposedly.
Maddocks are just keeping quite and letting the haitian;s 67'ers(who used to do the dirty work for everyone) kill each other off with all the other little gangs. It's all those damn gangster rap insipired gangs thinking theyre knowing what theyre doing GODDAMNIT!

I used to buy my drugs to bikers a couple of time, i mean directly to them. they were cool with me, making jokes and stuff, but i saw a couple of them in a bar beating a guy with a glass of beer in da face....ouch. They are two faces people. Well i guess you have to be like that to be a criminal after all.

Yeah,

It's just I really get pissed off when I read comments or hear people talk about Hip-Hop or Rap music as if it's a recipie for murder.
Yeah, there's a stigma behind the whole culture because of the murders of Tupac and Biggie, the lyrics of NWA, and the rage that came from Public Enemy. But these people were just expressing their lives in a manner that suited them (and made them popular). The violence was before rap, and would have still existed with or without the music.
But that is really such a small piece of hip-hop, and when you actually listen to other hip-artists other than those who glorify violence, like Nas, Warren G, RUN D.M.C., KRS-1, Mary J Blidge and so many more, it really depicts the total opposite.

very very very good point mico. i agree
