The graphics are really shitty on most games, compared to on xbox or gamecube. In Kingdom Hearts for ps2 the graphics are WOW! beautiful. but as the systems get older, the people making the graphics start to work better and better with it.
Even though its the least popular, gamecube is the best of the systems in my opinion, it has the most fun games. ppl just dont know it cause japanese people couldn't market if it depended on their entire collection of cum-stained panties |

It's got nothing to do with resolution. I'd put down good money that an x800 SLI @ 320x200 would look WAY nicer than, say, a Voodoo 2 @ 1280x1024
Maybe on a 10 inch screen, but the bigger the screen that you have, the worse low res will look... The problem is to get hi-res on a tv you need a tv that supports native hi-res hdtv signals... Which are pretty expensive. Widescreen gaming is simply awesome, btw, if the game supports it... There is going to be a serious gap in quality between people with normal tv sets and hdtv ones when the new consoles come out... |

FPS and Strategy games are meant for PC's for sure (and golf games). Nonetheless, you gatta hand it to microsoft on Halo 1 and 2. |

hand it to microsoft?!?!@
microsoft MURDERED bungie. that company *was* my favorite company (blizzard second) forever. Halo would have been released years earlier had MS not bought them out. Marathon was the best game ever made back in the day.. [ marathon.bungie.org ] they were the only FPS game with an amazing story. Halo was supposed to be a continuation of it, but once MS bought them out they killed the game. |

i remember back in the day, when you'd write a letter to bungie's webmaster he'd take your email and post it on their site and make fun of you..
now look at it: [ www.bungie.net ] .. passport? fucking gay. |

yeah halo was supposed to be on PC and mac and not an xbox exclusive for it's release |

yep. i followed that game all through high school, i was dying for that game to come out forever, then MS bought it, and (originally) cancelled it's PC release alltogether..
Here's some concept picts of marathon. |

meh, once you're used to it it's the same as having a mouse, as long as it uses the unreal engine which just about every single console FPS does |

I bought an X-Box only to transform it into a media center + emulators console, which rocks.
I must say that time is the vertue for FPS on console, Halo 2 is now, but still, I prefer using a mouse for FPS! Elseway, couch + TV + surround sound + console = best combo :) |

I think that native support for co-op mode in Doom 3 is what's gonna send me over to the x-box side. The media center option is just the icing on the cake. |

Man if doom3 runs well on the xbox I'd seriously question what the fuck is up with their programmers if it doesn't run properly on a PC with twice the specs of the xbox... That game is seriously slow |
