Don't you want to be locked inside a SAQ for the weekend?
"so which country do you want to drink next?" "Czech Republic, i want to try that absinthe thing." |

went to the one at rockland today, waited maybe 15 minutes in line to get in
great selection of stuff, especially considering they cater to hundreds of angry and thirsty customers a day and then waited another 15 minutes to pay |

The sad thing about the whole situation is that the public just doesnt know why the employees are on strike right now .. they all think we are overpaid etc .. anyways this is not the reason why we are on strike .. SAQ is trying to lower our shifts which means that even if youre paid well u will work 5 hours a week when u havent been in the company for 20 years.
Thats why the whole situation sux .. we all wait for the guy working in the office at the negociatio ntable to do something and fix the whole situation.. i nthe meantime everybody is an hostage of that crappy strike. |

It's funny how everyone turns to be an socio-economy expert when they can't get their alcohol anymore.
Opinions are hilarious when based on emotions... |

If you don't like your job find a new one! If the job you have is not giving you the hours you want find a new one... I mean if the SAQ decides to give people more hours then 20% of you will have 40 hours and 80% of you will be downsized and out the door... |

The thing is : companies are employing more employees, cutting the full time schedules into part time schedules. This is not a SAQ-only thing, a lot of places are doing that. Some people need full time jobs since they have a family to support, and without a full time schedule, they're screwed. And no they can't go search for another job, since most big businesses use all the same kind of strategies (which is all about less money for employees and more profits).
Booze is not worth whining for. Unless your life is booze. Then you should whine about your life. I guess. But whatever, this is just another union vs big company issue. There are stupid and pointless battles like this because the system is stupid and pointless. |

i'll agree that i hate the way big corps are doing that, they keep employees as part timers instead of full timers simply to deny them all major benefits.. including job security. |
