I often find myself dumbfounded whenever I watch people do pills. I absolutely amazes me that people will entrust their lives to complete strangers selling them a drug that can not be identified beyond its colour, shape or design,....whether it's actually what they intended or purchasing, cut with something, or a completely different drug altogether. Perhaps I was luckier than most people for being educated at such a young age. Since I grew up with a father who happens to be a pharmacist I learnt at a very young age that looks can be deceiving especially when it comes to medication. Regardless of that being said, I know so many people who take pills regularely... some of which genuinely trust their suppliers while others couldn't care less & them off complete strangers on the streets or at parties... Sorry to rain on anyone's parade but next time any of you holding a pill in your hands, please think twice before swallowing. I'd personally consider it good luck if I took a placebo that didn't affect me and my only regret was the money spent. For the record I know people who've gone to the hospital after taking a pill they thought was something else... I suppose hypothetically, the only way I'd ever consider trying heavy drugs would be if I were a chemist and made the pill myself. At least this way, if I were to end up in the hospital as a result I wouldnt have anyone else to blame but myself. I honestly don't give a shit how much experience you say you have or how many pills you've taken before. You CANNOT identify a what drug yuo are taking simply by the colour, shape, or design of the pill. The bottom line is that every time you take a random pill that isn't prescribed to you or comes in a labelled bottle, YOU ARE RISKING YOUR LIFE... Quit today so you can Live tomorrow... PS: I acknowledge that a few of you are probably reading this and saying to yourselves "Well, it's not as if smoking pot won't kill you over time by giving you lung cancer..." but the difference is simple. Smoking will kill you but it will take a very long time... time enough for any individual to quit while they still have a fighting chance of survival. Unfortunately it is hard to reverse the effects of a pill that takes under thirty minutes to fully digest into one's bloodstream. Upon realizing that you've taken a bad pill (or medication that you may not have known you were allergic to) you more than likely won't have enough time to regurgitate that which has already been ingested and will inevitably suffer the consequences. Honestly, I don't mean to be hating. If you guys really enjoy tripping on the shit that alright with me. I just feel that unfortunatly not enough people are educated on the subject nor do they take drugs responsably (in moderation). You owe it to yourselves to be 110% confident about what you're purchasing and who you're purchasing it from EACH AND EVERY TIME. And if you're still gonna go and buy random shit off whoever... don't pop more than one maximum. Anyways, I'm done preaching for today... |

Nothing annoys more than someone who thinks he is holier-than-thou preaching about the danger of drug usage by fright tactic. It seems you pity them because in your peception, the pill poppers lack willpower and wisdom. You design a scenario which depict taking smart drugs as if it like playing russian roulette with an auto 9. Stating the fact using a recreational drug, might shorten your life as to compare with cannabis usage does not make a solid argument. Why don't we all stop eating eggs and bacons and fried food. What you forget is, even tho it is illegal, buying and selling drug is a business just like any other. If the manufacturor make a cheap or toxic version of what is demanded, then that manufacturor will lose reputation fast. And it goes for the same for distributors, you sell a bad batch, you willl lose your clientele. The good ones will always test their shit before. They are afterall investing alot of money. The worse thing you can do, against those who are newly experienting with any kind of drugs is to make them feel guilty about their choice. The best thing you can do is to inform them about the good and the bad of substances consumption. It is theirs to discover if they choose to. Different people handle each drugs differently. So stop being a fucking alarmist. if you really want to raise awareness, shove your pride and start a freaking [ dancesafe.org ] chapter in Montreal. |

 Coolness: 91725 | Of course its impossible to identify the contents of a pill by its appearance, but suggesting the existence of so-called "bad pills" that will kill you is just another anti-drug myth. The simple reality is that drug dealers/chemists don't make money from poisoning their customers! If you buy a random pill from a stranger, of course it might be a "fake" and contain nothing more than caffeine or some other cheap drug, but the chance of the pill containing dangerous ingredients is infinitismal.
Pheonix, since I know you smoke pot I'll remind you of another anti-drug scare story: the "pot laced with crack" myth. Just like the "lethal pills" myth it doesn't survive common sense, since drug dealers make more money selling crack as crack than selling it as pot. Similarly, drug dealers aren't trying to poison their customers. And I find it funny that you interpret the order to "not place a stumbling block in front of a blind man" to mean not take drugs. I interpret it as meaning, well, not to place a stumbling block in front of a blind man. |
