Help With Film!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Coolness: 340 | Ok Listen up all you artsy fartsy wonderful people out there:
I am thinking of putting together a group to make this film I am really interested in making...a mini video to the song, Dancing With Kadafi--by Infected Mushroom. Its mainly gonna be for school and for fun. Anyone out there have experience in film, or are interested or have Ideas? I have a billion ideas already but the more the merrier! I need ppl who are good with cameras and creative, I will do all the editing in school...Id like for this to be in the film festival one day. Im dead serious about this, so if your willing to help let me know post a thread!!!!!!!! |

BUT what you are doing is illegal. If you want to use copyrighted music in a film then you need to pay royalties for it. Otherwise all sound and images MUST be original. You could make it just for you and depending on the teacher maybe for a class project but if you were serious about it it wouldnt work. Good luck |

I don't know anything about infected mushroom ... But that's a human , and if he's not over-corrupted by capitalism , he probably won't mind if you take a song and make a video of it ! :) Well , that's what I would do , copyright are such an over-used excuse ... G'luck ! |

I think it's too complicated ... But I don't think that using a song for a video is criminal ... I mean , all those cinema producers that uses beethoven , mozart and such in their movies , they didn't asked them about that uh ? Who controls those copyrights then ? Mwaaaaa , that's complicated :( |

| Coolness: 49175 | you have to pay royalties to the estate and after x amount of years the songs become the public. even lyrics to happy birthday are copyrighted. everytime a song is used in a movie it was paid for. |
