I also never knew your feelings toward this music were so intense :P For example, I don't like Dubstep, so I don't go to dubstep events, therefore I don't hear enough/know enough about it to even bother complain. Why torture yourselves?

"Whether a watercolor is inferior to an oil, or whether a drawing, an etching, or a photograph is not as important as either, is inconsequent. To have to despise something in order to respect something else is a sign of impotence. Let us accept joyously and with gratitude everything through which the spirit of man seeks to an even fuller and more intense self-realization."
Paul Strand, one of the most influential photographers in American history.

I'm sorry but opinions are necessary for evolution, ideas need to be discussed and sometimes even despised, cause the opposite to me is the very definition of impotence... what's a dick without balls??? Definitely, but spite and criticism are two different things, and spite has a very poor constructive value.

Tastes may have changed a bit, but.. Heh. Apologies for my previous comments in this thread, was intended as a joke rather than my real feelings toward HHC. Music, it's what gets your soul grooving. We shouldn't be disputing about tastes. I still try and catch Deadfunk when I can. Talented producer at that. This track will remain a favorite of mine. YES, it's arpeggiated, bite me.

Ufot-liberals, the older I get, the dumber they sound naw, that's besides the point... it'd be a bit complicated to get a complete quote of what strand means there but the point is, debating on styles like this is not going to push shit forward... there is no one style that is more moral or immoral (or socialy dangerous... excluding nazi metal or white power rap... wtv that's not really part of the debate anyways) you can't bash happy hardcore beause of it's caracteristics... you can dislike it but bashing what makes it what it is, aint gonna help... you can dislike how watercolor has a transparent effect but saying it over and over again aint gonna change the fact that watercolor is transparent... so what's the point? that's just the way it is and whoever uses it, uses it to his advantage and would use something else if it would help him create what he wants to create... alot of people bashed photography saying it should not be considered a form of art... what strand is saying is, I dont give a fuck if YOU think it's inferior, the important thing is, how can I use photography to make something dope and unique (I'm paraphrasing here) the context here is a bit different obviously but I fail to see how happy or uk hardcore participates in the regression of electronic music as a whole. It does not discredit electronic music. Happy and/or UK hardcore appeals to a certain audience that probably would not be interested in electronic music other-wise. Yes it is a young audience, the lyrical themes are not aimed at adults (although some do appreciate it anyways... which is kinda like watching lion king on repeat when you're 35 though). It can serve as an introduction to accepting electronic music as whole... hell a whole lot of people bashed jump up and harder/darker sides of dnb a while back... but if it had not been for dnb remixes of nine inch nails I wouldn't be djing/producing/promoting dubstep... and I'd probably still be shunning away electronic music for dumbass reasons like... oh its made with machine which makes it automatically inferior so do what YOU like, don't try and make anyone happy with your art, say what you want to say the way you wanna say it and stop worrying about how anyone else says what they say Update » rawali wrote on Thu Dec 10, 2009 @ 2:07pm also... masa, I like that tune too... its one of the two hhc tunes I enjoy once in a while... although there was a remix I liked better... cant remember which one
