All bullshit aside, its pretty shitty music, you'll realize it when you grow older And I'm not saying any of this to hate on the music since I'm probably the most musically versatile dj in this city. The point is I can still listen to a James Brown record today 30 years after it came out and marvel at how GOOD the music was and how innovative the guy was. The same goes for the Pixies, The Chemical Brothers or Brian Eno. It's stuff that'll still sound fresh in 10 years from now. I listen to old happy hardcore today and it just sounds like someone on speed fucking a bunch of chipmunks...Kindof hard to take that shit seriously in retrospect ;) |
