i like where it's coming from. you should try recording yourself scratching over it. it could give it a nice "wuketty-wuk" feeling and might make the beat's swing, a little more expected.

if you want it to sound robotic, slap on a vocoder with an appropriate synth patch. otherwise, if you want it to sound rich in reason, i would suggest loading a Scream with suttle tape distortion followed by a Unison with the dry/wet settings at around 10 o'clock. if you want to get that dub sound, i would then suggest using the advanced reverb, set the dry-wet anywhere from 9 o'clock to 12 o'clock, turn on the reverbs built in eq, set the frequency to 2khz, boost up the Gain, and open the param Q to around 1.0.
i've found this to have an interesting sound.

i've seen lots of people lose stuff in coat checks, it's usually safer in a dark corner... not to mention free
