Joyal is not the investigator, he is the police officer who arrived at the scene and took the initial report immediately afterwards. I have been advised not to discuss any further details of the investigation, it's out of my hands at this point.

I have remained silent until now, past my intial post describing what happened, but just a reality check for anyone who thinks I haven't pressed charges:



The officer who took the report's name is Joyal, his badge number is 4686. Since yesterday, the police have also received photos of Alex Gauthier, Alex Gauthier-Frankel, Marcus-Alexandre Frankel, or whatever he chooses to call himself, holding the weapon and pointing it at me, along with photos of the marks left by the baton. The police also have statements from witnesses describing the assault, and all of Gauthier's contact information. They also have a copy of this thread, and a full statement from me regarding our history of "internet arguments". I have nothing to hide.

This is a real situation.

So I showed up to meet Alex Gauthier at the corner of St Laurent and Duluth, like I said I would, at 4:30. I had my back turned and my car door open when someone ran up behind me and hit me on the shoulder with something. I turned around and saw a short, fat guy with what looked like a baton, who started yelling at me and addressing me by name. I assumed this was Host One. I turned around and he continued to strike me with this retractable baton that you see in the photos. I asked him what he was doing and told him he need to calm down. He kept yelling and striking, stopping to ask a female companion to take the pictures that you see here. I held my arms up in the arm and told him I didn't bring any weapons with me, because that's just ridiculous - why would I even own any weapons. He strikes me a few more times, tells me to "go home" and then runs down the street like a coward. I don't understand why he ran away, considering he had a baton and I had nothing. I've got a bruise on my arm, I guess, but certainly didn't sustain the level of injury I had been told I would. I had hoped we would just meet in person and bury the hatchet, but I guess now everyone knows what kind of person Alex Gauthier is - the kind of coward who attacks you from behind with a weapon and then runs away down the street while 20 people just stare at him.

In any case, assault charges have been filed, witnesses were interviewed by police officers at the scene of the incident, and I can only assume that the police will be paying Alex a visit shortly. The reason I do this is because I can only imagine that one day he will do this to somebody who isn't quite as big as I am, or maybe a woman, and I don't like the idea of this obviously unstable person running around with a weapon. The police also have the photos that have been posted here, along with all text. Taking a photo of yourself holding a restricted weapon is not the smartest thing to do.

That is all I have to say about this matter.
