Good friendships are hard to end. I can count on one hand the amount of people I consider a friend. You are right. But I still find a friendship easier to end then a loveship (woooo new word).

I personally have very little trouble once I've made up my mind to end a friendship. And walk away from a friendship no matter how tight it was. Somethings/behaviours and attitudes are un-fixable or un-willing to put up withable.

Where as a loveship I keep going over in my head why/what if/what happened.

Friends are WAY more easier to tell to fuck off and cut them out of your life. It's when you have feelings for said person that it's hard. Because you start to internally justify their actions till it hits the breaking point. Blind to you being taken advantage of.

I wish I could say yes, I still spend too much time telling myself I fucked up some how. And it was my fault she left. I had went from someone who grew up 100% sure I would be alone for my life. To finding someone I got along with and felt a hint of genuine love for. To confused and alone again. I've been divorced almost 3 years now. And I still feel as utterly alone as I did growing up. I went thru the whole cycle, drugs, partying, mistaken "friends" and come full circle to be left with the same feelings and now various messes to clean up because of a few years spent not handling my shit.

Gone thru the samething, moved her all over North America with me. Paid for everything from food to clothing to entertainment. I had a GREAT job in Washington D.C making mad cash. Left it to move back to Canada so she could go to university. Moved home, and she left me after I got her setup with university and everything.
