From looking at his page, it seems to me like those aren't styles he pays much mind to in the first place. *shrugs*
I'm feeling giddy right now..

it's great to have artists from around the world, but if being fed all this art keeps us from being creative, in the end that's a big fail.
what i'd like to see is those artists giving workshops in painting when we make them come here. that would be constructive, and they don't become a 'product' that we consume.
buy a fish to a man and he'll eat tonight. teach a man how to fish and he'll eat all nights. or something like that ;) ;)
I'm feeling authenthic right now..

The other way to look at it would by teach a man to fish and put your fish-shop out of business because they realize how much they're being marked up on the price of something that just costs a tiny bit in materials!
I'm feeling like a drama magnet right now..

It's definitely not stopping me from being creative XD

Look what I made recently

but this isn't deco. hehehe

Anyways, I would definitely like to help with deco some time, I have a couple ideas that I think might look cool with your style (=
I'm feeling party time! right now..

I keep thinking that something totally awesome to have for deco would be using that invisible black-light paint.. have a dual-picture painting.. like normally it looks cool and trippy, but under black light there's a whole new layer..
I'm feeling like a drama magnet right now..

already been done, :)
i don't remember the artist, but i saw this already... i think it was from russia.
though i'm not satisfied with my painting skills enough to make paintings. but there are lots of talented painters here who could just add fluo to their art, and it would become great psy deco.
i wish raisinlove painted fluo, i like his stuff a lot :)
I'm feeling authenthic right now..

had an idea for a halloween party with a bunch of frames with black canvases... then at midnight you've got some theatrical stuff going on stage and black lights start flashing under the frames revealing hidden paintings of creepy shit... murder scenes and monsters and shit... whatever fits the theme of the night
I'm feeling forward every thurs right now..

that would be awesome.. I was thinking something like that would be really cool.. do a They Live! theme.. have posters like for coke/pepsi with CONSUME that only shows up under black light, posters of politicians that have the skeletons show through when hit with black light.. And have some sort of rotating setup in the middle of the room that focuses the black lights around the room..
I'm feeling like a drama magnet right now..

You painted that?! Who carved it?

Also @Mickos and @Nuclear: I have these white packing strips that I got from work, a big garbage bag full. They resemble streamers, but do not succumb to moisture. So react to UV light and will make for some sick deco. I can give you (maybe Noah?) them if you'd like. Or I can get pics and post.

But I LOVE seeing the deco artist's paintings on the walls. We just need more of them. I'd never seen the ones at SOMA before, and those were outstanding and edible, everyone agreed. It just costs money to bring in artists. But art should be supported and encouraged IMO. It's something to write home about too, we didn't have art like that in AB in general. Partying in a really great art gallery is just awesome.

I made a lot of jewelry like that before, Lita :) we should get creative and make some stuff together. Or at least you can take over some of my old gear.

keppy carved it :)

and those streamer things, are they made out of plastic? i have an idea what we could do with them, but i don't have space to take them in. we'd have to create directly at the party place... i can tell you about the idea i got when i see you :)

Ok, well, back on topic....I guess I'm late on this thread, but w/e....

My favourite parties/bar nights (since I didn't get to many parties..)

Psybass was awesome
Epic coalition 3 was definitely epic
Kinetik was awesome, even though I ended up working at the merch table way too much.....still got to catch some awesome shows, and party afterwards
All of the OCDj nights were amazing
Les Bucherons was pretty fun. Dancing in the rain and stuff....even though I hate psy (Yes, I hate it.)
Miaou 6 was super fun
I'm feeling myself right now..
