i guess, in the end, some comment, as negative as it may be, is better than no comment
I'm feeling psyfun right now..

I'm feeling inspired right now..

Originally it was just like: you suck, your music ruined my night, and your a prick for thinking your set would have worked at that time. Not much to work with...

Anyways it does shed some light on something... longer extended breakdowns with intricate atmospheres work well when your lying down in your bed, not so much on the dance-floor for some.

Regardless the idea behind the night was for it to be all live, which means there will be mistakes and experimentation going on. If you want perfect psy all night long you can go to any other event any other weekend and hear it. The djs will for the most part always deliver what you seem to be looking for...

The major problem with e.d.m right now is that it's not so much about creativity and musical ideas as much as its about how well produced and loud something sounds. It's really stopping a lot of talent from getting noticed...
I'm feeling bad chemistry right now..

I for one am pretty sick of hearing the generic psytrance, no matter how good it is. And you'd be surprise what people dance too, I've seen people go all out on ambient (and for the most part there was no drum beat i.e, not world beat, it was ambient), they swayed the whole time and contact danced.. although for that to work, the time slots have to be strategic. It's all about the time slots... you can play almost any type of electronic music, as long as it fits one after the other.
I'm feeling punkadelic right now..

true :)
while i was on mdma and enjoyed the breakdowns... i probably would not have felt the same way if i was sober. i'll make a commitment to be sober at the next of these events... so much that i could analyze and give better feedback ;)

@ screwhead !!HEY! ! that may be true, although what I said is also true. There is something to be said for a well thought-out progressive line up, it can make all the difference.

maybe if some of you didn't go out every week and weekend to psy events, but would mix it up and go listen to something else, you wouldn't be bored of it

im not recruiting, i dont really do events anymore besides the one coming up in january, and in the past most of my events had at least one psy set!

and its the same for every style of music i find, i play hardstyle, i love it, but if i went to a bar weekly and only heard hardstyle, then raves on weekends , i'd get bored of it pretty fast...

This was a great party, I wish I could have stayed longer and heard a few more sets! A really big props to everyone coming out and supporting local talent and even bigger PROPS to the promoters for going balls to the wall with the live concept! See you all at SOMA 2011 !!! -K

On a side note.. after reading all the comments and facts posted about the 3810 St Patrick room over the past few months I will be avoiding it like the plague. Ive always felt sick after being there and now its clear that that room is not only EXCESSIVELY NOXIOUS for our health but renting it and paying to party there encourages some of the worst scum on the earth. RIP 3810 St Patrick.

I for one don't go out every weekend, I rarely go out, less than once every 2 months... I'm a full time university student that goes to 50% of the events sober... give your opinion but don't judge people you don't even know. I also listen to a lot more classic rock than psy. My ears are always fresh but I do listen to enough psy to tell the different styles apart. Moreover, there is generic psytrance, just like pop music and alternative...! and when it's generic is sounds all the same, and it sucks, that's what I am bored of.

it was a generalized comment and not just addressed to you, starting with "if some of you.." but u felt so judged by it that you felt the need to tell me

-that i dont know you and judge you anyway
- that you're a full time university student
- that you rarely go out
- dont always get high
- you like other music than psytrance

so my comment obv doesn't apply to you and maybe you shouldn't take the ravewave forums too personal eh.

I saw your comment coming (the one above), I wrote that because I am the one who wrote that I was bored, no one else... others also reacted to your comment... so I am not the only one that felt that way.

Yeah... Most people here never heard dubstep the way it should be. If you've never felt drowned under an ocean of bass, if you've never heard aliens and evil creatures speak to you through sub sonic waves, you've never heard real bass music. My two cents.

As for the comments about the line-up, I think the music was more than enjoyable. There's a difference between giving constructive advices and complaining. Sure, a party like this still has room for improvement, but I think it was worth every cent and was actually one of the best parties I've been to at this venue.
I'm feeling the farce right now..

Fucking hilarious.

"I wanna go party, stay up for four days, do Acid, Shrooms and various other drugs. And I wanna be dancing all night, eating nothing but gummy bears and some fruits. But I don't wanna do it at 3810 cuz it's "Unhealthy" according to people that hate the place."

I take hilarioos back, and replace it with a huge flaming Pathetic
I'm feeling blood thirsty right now..
