I totally learned something these past couple days. At first, I thought I knew what [ rave.ca ] was about; I thought it was all about the music. But thats not what makes [ rave.ca ] amazing. Its the people that make [ rave.ca ] off the hook. Its the people coming together. Its about the people; their energy, their enthusiasm, their love, their dedication. Thats what its all about guise! And that too is part of what makes it so amazing. That on [ rave.ca ] we can learn and grow and progress and become better people, better ravers, better community members. That we all come together to make each other better, and make ourselves better in the process. --- I totally see now how Smashley506's video was a good effort, even though she clearly doesn't have friends who are djs and doesn't know the musical theory behind sick dubstep mixes. Cuz its not just about that. Smashley506 is a contributing [ rave.ca ] member, and just like she taught me about how [ rave.ca ] is about more than just the music, maybe I'll be able to teach her about what really good electronic musique sounds like. See Smashley506 - selecting a sick song for a dubstep remix is really all about asking yourself, 1) Can i hear this video sounding good with lots of womps and booms? 2) Would it sound good if I high on ketamine? 3) Would it sound good if I slowed the song down to 135 bpm? Take this song for instance: do u see? |
