Its because Israel is a state and should be held accountable for its foreign policy by the international community, just like a murderer or a rapist is a person and should be held accountable for its actions by the civic community and civil society via the police and judicial system. But they're not. And its awful to see this problem continue year after year. The restriction of freedom of movement is morally repugnant. The only way you can justify it is by placing the land ownership and well being of Israelis as infinitely more important than the the economic well being of Palestinians. I'm pretty sure thats why people rag on israel. Id love to hear your thought process as to why everyone in the world save for the USA and Conservatives rag on them, though. Really, Id love to hear it... |

I've seen guys on torontojungle using that same argument to justify homophobic lyrics in dancehall and ragga-jungle... I couldn't beleive my ears. he didn't just say that randomly, I'm sure. extinction means genocide. by using that word, they are trying to get people comfortable with the idea that one day, all the refugees - every man woman and child - might have to be wiped out, once and for all. it's a final solution. history repeating itself and as for imposing our "western values" on Israel... horse shit. I will bet 20 bucks that the guy who drove that bulldozer is of Russian or Ukrainian origin... either born there himself, or the son of immigrants. Israel is full of people who have immigrated from America, Toronto, Montreal, Russia, Ukraine, Western Europe. The vast majority of people who founded the state of Israel immigrated from western cultures, so they are well-aqcuainted with those values and democratic principles. |

That is the boat where the violence took place. This was meant to provoke - it was funded and organized by a Turkish Islamist organization (IHH) that has links to fundamentalist jihadi groups. The ship was flying under the Turkish flag. Those on board carried out pre-planned violence, armed with knives and metal bars, each soldier being attacked by a mob of a dozen extremists. They threw one soldier off the top deck of the ship.
