 Coolness: 44865 | I've only lived here a little while, only events I've been to are a couple Bassdrives (0=0 and Recoil, which kicked ass, from what I can remember.) Spor and Chris Renegade, which was also fuckin awesome, aside from pretty much being trampled on the dance floor (but I just couldn't leave it) and Camo & Krooked. Again, awesome party, good vibe, nice venue. Although there was that confusing room switch.....But, coming from where I do, anything is an improvement, lol. Looking forward to experiencing more of what Montreal has to offer. |

I personally like electro, more on the tech side than the house side witch is exactly what I loved about overdose. dude dont get me wrong, there are a bunch of times i saw overdose line-ups (I think they had derrick may in 2009!) and I kinda wish I could have went even though we had something dope at forward that night. Also I think mini is a great dj. I cant really talk about beatmeup, the only time I've been was back in the day when it was on sundays and i was there for like half-an-hour... so basically, apart from seing the line-ups and hearing a lil' about it I don't know much about the night... certainly not enough to judge it... all I know is that its over... I don't know what is going to happen with electro in montreal... I think it's a shame that overdose is over... saying that electro is dying is over the top, you're totally right on that and there are a bunch of people that are going to keep doing what they do in the electro scene... but both overdose and beatmeup were important pillars of the genre in montreal so it seems that it's talking a pretty big hit. sorely missed is an understatement! but then again one end is another beginning... so I'm curious to see what 2010 hold in store...
