but a couple jams I played that I really liked... 0=0 at Bassdrive was an awesome night W.H.A.M. at Silver Dollar with Sixteenarmedjack was sick. even with only one turntable working for half my set I had a great time =) Pink sox always does proper jams with a great vibe and good people... nice mix of breakcore madness and hardcore jungle . big up Luke Peril and Jackson for that one. do another one soon! yup yup. I really enjoyed the other sets I heard. good variety of interesting music. it's a shame I got there so late and had to leave right after my set. I was moving that weekend, so my time was very limited. I had been working non-stop and aside from a 15 minute nap I was on no sleep - otherwise I woulda stuck around till the end. but ya, had a great time. it was fun selecting on one deck =) |

Dj Premier @ Coda what?? how did I miss this? I didn't even know he was in town! I live in a bubble. My boy brought him to Hamilton in 2005 to host the DMC Champs - sick show. Premier is the illest when I saw him he played a full hour set of his own production - crazy oldskool shit like Gangstarr, Group Home, Das Efx, Krs One, Jeru, New York State of Mind - followed by some nice old funky breakbeat. what kind of stuff did he play at Koda? PS - may I also add for favourite jams of 2009... any of Bassfacial's afterparties =) they're the best! |
