I'm sure actual gorillas on crack would be more polite than what I'm reading here.

Melo, are you kidding me ? So a Swiss army knife is NOT dangerous but a wine bottle opener is ? Fuck, last I checked there's a wine bottle opener on a swiss knife so wtf ?

How big were her breasts for him to keep her knife "safe" and throw away your stuff ?

There's nothing worse than a fucking selective doorman who's all playful and cheery with people who go there often and give new people dirty looks and treat them like dirt.
I'm feeling "flynn lives" right now..

Last time I was at Circus, fucking gang bangers rushed the door with batons and started beating the shit out of the security gaurds, who then retaliated by going somewhere in the club and reappearing carrying fucking 8 inch kitchen knives.

I have good friends who are really trying to make their way in the DJ community by working their asses off in the gallery room, and now actually getting a slice of the main room as well, but honestly...fuck that place. I'm never going there again. Sketchy, sketchy, sketchy. And I've felt similar vibes to what people are talking about from the staff...the polite ones are in the minority.

Anyone know if Adam Beyer is still playing old port this weekend?
I'm feeling focused right now..

Last time I was there, a doorman was sent to the hospital when some dude from the hip-hop room picked up one of the separator rails, at the entrance, and slammed into his face.

To say, peoples go there to have fun...
I'm feeling no sleep till tuesda right now..

Thing is : who's to blame ? Did the dude from the hip-hop room overreacted from the alcohol and/or drugs or did the doorman do something to warrant getting a grate up his nostrils ?

ya it's hard to say with stuff like that. some bouncers are super cool. they have a tough job. I've seen the good and the bad. some bouncers I've known have been very cool and respectful to me.. always used to let me in past the lineup at clubs.. so long as you are cool with them they are nice, friendly guys.

other ones are the worst of the worst. I've personally witnessed bouncers at places where I've worked beat people really really really badly. sure maybe the guy did something wrong, but they don't deserve to be beaten to a pulp.

the problem is these types of bouncers love hurting people and humiliating people. and sometimes those people come back and get them later.

I remember waiting after a gig next to this club Afterlife in Toronto - at like 3 AM. these dudes pulled up on Adelaide - right in the heart of the club district.. and just stopped their car in the middle of the street about 40 feet away from me. they looked sooooooo angry. they didn't even say a word. they just got out of the car and started hurling huge 1 litre glass bottles at the bouncers. huge shards of glass were flying everywhere. then they just got back in their car and took off. there was a lot of people out there. lucky nobody was hurt, as far as I know. my ride came shortly after that and we bounced.

anyway when i read the paper a couple days later, it turns out.. about 20 minutes later, those same guys came back and stopped their car on the street again. but this time they pulled out a gun and started shooting at the bouncers. some guy got shot but luckily nobody was killed.

fuck. glad I left when i did. but I had to wonder what the bouncers did to them to provoke that kind of attack.

Kevin so if Stereo was standing and Circus Burnt down 2 times what would people think? It is easy to point a finger i do admit i AM PO'D BIG TIME why can't we dance in STEREO?? And yes i point the finger in circus direction cause if the tables were turned Stereo would be blamed, this is a club war Gangster shit going on here!!!

My friend At Red lite Security at the door is having a hard time as well with the gangs and bikers and all that shit WHAT HAPPENED TO IT BEING ABOUT THE MUSIC????

I am boycotting Circus and all after hours in Montreal and i wrote a letter to the mayor's office asking for the crime in the downtown core to be taken a look at more carefully ( it is an election year). Circus had a stabbing a month or so a ago not just one stabbing but two now the fire and violence at after hours HAS TO STOP.

Stereo never had that problem, u know why they have those problems hence Aria being closed casue of all the violence and Sona HIP HOP HAS NO PLACE IN AN AFTER HOURS!!!!I say that now and then and will continue to say it until Stereo is rebuilt again from the ashes!

BTW Stereo is rebuilding i am going down to help with the clean up!!! And whoever here can lend a hand would be appreciated!!! The community has spoken and we will dance again in Stereo!!!! We will not be scared away from fucking Haters!!! Weather it be this or that person or persons or club or whatever!!!
I'm feeling stereo right now..

can u guys please stop refering trouble makers as HIPHOPPERS or clubbers! trouble makers are trouble makers ,gangsters or terrorist! if its really about music theres no need to point the blame on other style of music! Hiphop is in my heart and you dont see me causing ruckus in clubs! the same way that most raver or techno music heads are not all e-tards .
I'm feeling analyzing charts right now..

To be honest u r right but some bad apples spoil the bunch man, true that but HIP HOP HAS NO PLACE IN AFTER HOURS, that is the number 1 reason why there is trouble in the afters that have hip hop rooms, u ever see shit or hear shit like that happen at Stereo when it was open? IE STABBING , SHOOTINGS ect......
I'm feeling long live stereo right now..

ui agree.. and lynzyn for someone whos tryin to say wheres the love of the music i think your pushing it onto hip hop when i dont think this situation as squat to do with this style of mysic.

But if u read my post properly i said some bad apples spoil the bunch and has mostly to do with the hip room!!! Some bad apple spoil the bunch...

Regardless there is just too much crime weather u r a gangster or a biker or just want to settle and account with some one why do it outside a club or after hours???? I am not getting into this shit those r my opinions and they stay at that....Yes i like doing drugs from time to time when i go to afters i don't deny it....
But since no afters suit my fancy other than Stereo i don't bother...

Unfortunatly, the e-tard to crackhead ratio is almost 50/50 in afterhours that have hiphop rooms.

Hiphop rooms seems to attract troublemakers, and the last thing you want when you are trippin on e is the cops storming the place cus some kid in the hiphop room sported the wrong colors on the wrong night.

point taken i agree.. im not a big fan of clubs and afters for that precise reason.. its not something you will see in hiphop shows and outside events tho.
its a problem unique to bars and afters.

NEhow i dont really care for those so ima leave it at that.. it is quite sad that the place burned down.. i wanted to go for adam beyer.. oh well.

No offence, but if you think the afterhours has ever been about the music and not about the monies,
you're srsly in need of a reality check.

After hours was NEVER about the music. EVER!

It was a good ideas bikers had when they realized pills and such could be sold.
That's it.

End of story.

The music is more or less the bait.
The concept is a late night drug-store.

Get with it.

We all know it'll get fucked again before it opens.
Someone dosen't want Stereo to exist.
They proved they had leverage by shutting it down then burn it before it repopens.

I dunno about you, but I intend to stay away from that shit.
People get shot for just helping other peolpe out you know.

For a lot of peeps it is about the music, i know that it is about the money in the long run for them so to say, but Stereo will rise again and for that community it is about the music!!!

For a lot of peeps : People that go. Not those who build.
I mean you can go to the supermaket to have sex, dosen't make it a hotel.

And as long as theses people have leverage, Stereo will not reopen.

Here's a little "organized crime" methodology.

Step 1
------
You get the police you own to shut down a place you can't buy/coerce into sharing profits with organization.

Step 2
------
upon reopening, or before, burn the fucking place down to the ground so it can't open, and make the other go bakrupt.

Step 3
------
If step one and two fail. Thenm simply get someone to shoot the motherfucker who insists on reopenning the place in question.
Everyone who stands in the way is acceptable casualty.

When it gets there, it usually werks, but then the conondrum is that the place is reopened by the dude who went thru step one to three. AND you go and give the guy more monie. all the while whimpering cuz it's not about the music anymoar.

My two cents.
