Why wouldn't anybody be able to bring your own gear like Marc B. [ ] did at Rewire 5? Why should the promoter who's bringing you these countless nights of enjoyment be held responsible for your doings? Maybe the solution relies on leaving a giant sheet for people to draw on during the course of the night like I've seen at Raves 'R Us and Freedom 3 in QC... Anyways, that's all I had to say... dude, For Stop drop N rave, i LOVED the art, and i was more then happy to see people draw on the walls and create beautifull creations, there should be more like that.

Coolness: 113375	Ashley, I believe the point that peter was trying to make was that even though some drawings will make the wall look better...the scene gets a bad name for defacing property and writing on venue walls. Its one thing for it to happen at a condemned building, but when future renters see that people draw all over the walls and shit they can become a tad more reluctant to let us rent venues.

Everyone at the stop drop n rave venue knew it was going to be demolished , so it was okay for them to vandalize and deface it, however if you notice, there was much less vandalism and graffiti, there was still some, but nothing compared to the other place, which like i said, was laright because we ALL knew it was going to be demolished in the near future. So I wouldnt say that ravers always do this sort of thing. cuz they dont really.

The point peter was simply trying to make was that seeing pics of venues getting written on can give the scene a bad name, and lead future renters to think twice about lending out a venue for the night. Also another point could be that promoters who have to give security deposits on venues may be less inclined to do so if they know that their money is never going to come back to them because some E-tard with a sharpie decided to make some art. I'm not saying EVERYBODY in the scene does it, but some do. And not EVERYBODY who sees a picture of a vandalized building knows if it was going to be demolished or not. Its just something to think about...

Coolness: 50820	hmm , i understand what you are trying to say , well maybe to prevent it from happening, we should have notebooks and pens available for these specific people that like to draw while high, like i for one love drawing high on L** but i never do it on a wall, i always bring a notbeook and a pen in case this urge arises.

GOOD BOY!!!! gives you a cookie :P I remember a few parties I went to in 2007 used to have these HUGE white poster boards on the walls so people could write on those instead of the actual wall.
