@ Host_One: I may not be much help, but this is what I know.
- About 10 minutes before the first cop came upstairs, word was given that there was a cop car outside.
- About 5 minutes before the first cop came upstairs, word was given that there were cops, plural.
- A lot of us gathered our things in preparation to make a departure if needed, and it was.
- The first cop came upstairs literally right near me as I was standing near the door, flashing his light in my eyes and blinding me momentarily.
- Cop #1 then proceeded to say "This is the Police, you are all in violation of..." I think he said trespassing, my French is pretty terrible so excuse me if I get anything wrong here and onward, if someone else would like to give in their info, go for it :)
- A second Cop came up and it was either him or the first cop who proceeded to tell us to turn off the music.
- A female Cop came upstairs and repeated the same message about what I think was trespassing and for us to gather up our shit and go single file or double downstairs and outside.
- As many of us went downstairs the next female Cop at the bottom of the stairwell told us all to sit along the walls outside.
- After some time, Antonino then came around taking pics, and I think video, of us all.
- The next thing I knew, someone pointed out that the cops were asking for Antonino's ID since no one else was fessing up any info on who organized the rave.
- Antonino refused and a cop reached for him (their move, their fault, their mistake) Antonino moved away from the cop and another grabbed at him. They then proceeded to restrain him and he of he tried to get out of their grasp but by then the other cops joined in the restraining.
- They eventually dragged him over to the other building, which I -think- was a garage, and put him up against it and cuffed him.
- From there the Cops told us to go'round front and...leave... I thought it was odd, but they did just let us go.

That is all I know, some of it is speculation. Anyone else can comment and adjust my write-up of the Police event.

He was being sarcastic, putting the community (dj's, ravers) in peril by throwing jams like this is retarded. You wanna go to jail for trasspassing or B&E? Not me, I have bigger fish to fry than to sit in jail for bullshit like that. Squatting is squatting no matter how you look at it, and that's how the cops saw you lot that night, a bunch of squatters tresspassing, high on drugs (that might not have been the case, but that's how they saw every single one of you, regardless of your sobriety).
I like underground ghetto parties, but only when they're sought out properly and tested. You don't just show up anywhere and set up shop, you know better than that guys.

Also, the genrator was inside or close to inside? Are you out of your fucking minds? Do you want permanent brain damage or something? That shit is retarded, find some outdoor venues and something better than a couple of studio monitors (that are sure to sound like shit now after maxing them out without any regard) cause this shit ain't worth it guys. You almost all got the plastic cuffs and a night in jail, watch your asses next time. Lesson learned I guess.

I think your being a little harsh Host_One, nothing personal, but it was a mistake and the community has learned. I'm sure all the proper precautions WERE taken, but shit still happens, you can't win em all. This time we lost. There is no reason to put blame on anyone for it.

You're all to blame, regardless - how are you not? There are no precautions taken when you're tresspassing and breaking and entering, am I bursting your "plur" bubble right now? Cause in reality, where I'm from, it could have been the cops raining a bad trip down on you right now in a 8 by 8 cell. It's not even monday, court isn't open today you'd be screwed harder than anything had they taken you all away (or found drugs on your persons had they decided to search you all). So take my words as positive crit, theres nothing harsh about a fellow raver/dj speaking the truth, it's not that hard to swallow. I still love you all, but you need to think with your head, not with your bag of drugs.

VIDEO OF POI'ing IS UP:
[ vimeo.com ]

@ Host_One:
ONE: I get you completely man. I was part of a small group of people who had no idea where the door to get in was so we were trudging through mud, tall grass, glass and bushes trying not to get seen. It is pretty hard at time with the 24hr notice. We all know the risks, we all want to party and have a kick-ass time. So now that we've lived through this one, we're going to kick even more for the next time.
TWO: "Also, the genrator was inside or close to inside?" I'll clear this one up as best I can for you :) In the beginning the generator was in a back room on the top floor. The reason for moving it downstairs is unsure to me. When the power went out once more I believe the generator got brought upstairs and put just outside the chill room window/door (which was bagged up so no one can see inside, that precaution the crew (I believe Noah?) took great care of. As for the reasoning of moving it up, I heard something about the power going out due to someone tripping on the cable going down the stairs, I hope someone can clarify a lot of this as I would love to know what went down...besides the power :P
I'm feeling pretty damn good right now..

THx for clearing that up Korhal. You guys should just find open secluded fields and throw jams there, you have better chances of throwing a party on benny hill without it getting busted. Just a suggestion, no harsh judgements, just truth, and sometimes truth is hard to swallow, especially when you have to look at yourself and admit you we're in the wrong ;) I've been there so many times before, just looking out for you guys.
And Zaruen, no offense taken, I'm just trying to get real here.

The generator was way way way in the back at first, it was alright since the exhaust was going outside the back of the building. Then someone started freaking out when I needed to refill the generator cause it smelt a little inside. They started yelling at me to put the generator downstairs. I said I think outside is better but when people yell I was like OK we put it in the flower shop in the building next door. Then someone else started flipping out that it smelt like gas inside. It did mostly cause I spilled gas all over myself. Whatever the case at this time I moved the generator outside in the front (and not the back) where it was. It was the best place for it.

As for why the cops came. Everyone sitting outside. There were like 20 of you outside. Don't you know when 20 people are outside at 4:30 in the morning and your right next to a hospital and mall that maybe someone will be like what the fuck is happening there.

Next we were not trespassing as the person who was living in the building at the time told us we could have the party in there. The last time someone unlocked a door for me and let me into a place, I didn't ask for papers to check to see if they owned the place, I just presumed. This is what really happened.

Alex, you liked stop drop n' rave, that was more of a break in party then this one was because there was no permission at all to do anything there. If we didn't get busted, you would not be complaining. As for spending a night behind bars, they don't want to waste their time throwing 6 people who work full time behind bars. They will loose out on about 900$ of tax money a day and we would be out in no time. If someone gets caught with a ton of drugs at a party and gets arrested it's their fault. If your going to get high at a party, do all your buying and stuff before, and not at the party. Then you will have no problems. I don't think anyone should be selling anything at a party. That is why people overdose and start crawling on the floor not knowing where they are. THIS IS BAD... AND IT GIVE A BAD IMAGE TO THESE PARTIES.

Next off, some people were high, but I hope that most of us were not. I for one was extremely sober and I think all the other people who helped out with the event were also. I can't tell people what and what not to do. When the cops came in they came with force, they have no idea who we are or anything. After they saw we were cool people and they were not as forceful anymore. The fire department people thought our party was really cool. Two of the police officers did also. We left the place in better condition then when we started. There was no graffiti, we did not break any windows to get in (we were let in). We came with preparations like a fire extinguisher and other stuff. I think things worked out perfectly, and I think most people had a really good time.

I for one had a good time and I'd do it again. But for the near future it will be outdoor events. Safer and less problems. We just have to worry about the rain. I will buy 6 large tarps this week and will figure out how to make a cool thing with them.

As for Antonino, he is not in Mexico anymore. Eventually he will learn how things work here. When you cooperate, things go smoothly. I was upstairs with other police officers with the other people who had equipment there. I did not leave through a window like rumors told... Don't believe the hype. You can thank all of us upstairs for you guys leaving most probably as we had to wait up there another hour after you guys left. Not one of us was handcuffed or anything cause we cooperated with the police, told them the truth and they realized we are cool people like them.

Remember out society loves working people. If we were all bums, things would be different. But the people who brought equipment are all professionals. We work Monday to Friday. We are not on welfare. We are not a burden to society. No problems... Ever...

people were sitting outside because the generator was inside... so it was hard to breath.. i do not want to die intoxicated. next time we should find a better spot to put the generator

but anyways, shit happens, it's over, the party itself was good, i had mad fun, no one is in jail or got ticket. ya eu plus de peur que de mal, even if it sad that it got busted

The generator was only inside after we moved the generator to the second space and it was in another building then the one we were in. People kept opening the steel door which let to the other building cause they wanted to explore. It was not my idea to put it there. I had it in the back bathroom and the exhaust was going outside.

Anyways what is done is done. We need some more electricity cable next time. Someone walked off with a couple of mine at the past couple of parties or they were left there.

I gotta say, I showed up for like 3 o clock and I never once smelled any gas... besides, it's not the gas that would be dangerous but the exhaust from the generator, was the generator really being used inside a room that was closed to the outside?

At one point yes, for about 30 minutes... But it was in another building (the one attached to the one we were in)... There was a door open in that room also and some windows. That was obviously a bad place to put it as people kept opening up the huge door which lead to the other building (urban explorers) which causes the smell to come into where we were. People just don't close doors when they open them. That is why it was moved to the other place on the patio. There was also the fact like I said I spilled about 2L of gas all over me. If people kept that door shut there would have been no problems. The first place the generator was, was the back bathroom and it was on some bins so the exhaust was going outside. There was no smell at that point at all. And the last place was outside on the patio. Which was just as good as the bathroom in the back since both places the exhaust was outside.

Next time there should be a fan also which can plug into the generator and really push the fumes away. As I said it smelt a little at one point (2nd room) but it was no way enough which caused any danger to anyone in my opinion. Trust me I enjoy life way too much to put myself or other people at risk, and I'm sure everyone is the same way. People just over react and that is why the generator was moved like 50 million times. It was however the mix of everyone smoking, a little fumes, body heat and not much ventilation in the main room. Since we will never throw another party in this location I think we have nothing to worry about for the future and no one was harmed and I don't think anyone would have been. I am happy the generator was outside when the cops came though. That was a good move! Next time in theory we can build a little wall outside with garbage bags. Hide the generator there and have many meters of power cables to go around. Next time it will happen. You have to remember the party was FREE so the only equipment we used was our own. Next time everyone who complained, feel free to donate some equipment so we are better equipped.

All in all I think it was a successfully party, everyone had fun, nothing went wrong in the end and life goes on. We can complain and bicker about what is right and wrong, what should have or should not have happened but all is over with. May 30th :)...

BTW: If you feel that coming to these parties puts your life at risk, just don't come. I helped out because I wanted to be there. If me and 10 other people were the only ones at the location I would have been just as happy as with all of you there also. On to the next thing and stop bickering at everything. You can also not walk across the street cause a car might go through a red light and kill you. Might as well stay home, watch TV and be a good citizen.

Also:

The first time the power went out was due to no more gas.
The second time was to move the generator to the other place cause someone complained about the first one.
The third time someone tripped on the cable.
The forth time was gas again.
The fifth time was to move the generator again.

Total 5 times the power went out. Six times since at one point I started it and 30 seconds later I turned the thing off by accident. It started up again in another 30 seconds.

The gas in the generator last for about 3 hours. After the 4th time, it took a lot longer to refill because I lost my funnel which makes it way easier to fill up.

Also next time people have problems talk to me and not yell at me. Remember this was everyones party but not many people helped out. You want something done, then come with me and help to do it. Also if you are high on any drugs, don't bother talking to me about what it smells like or do any complaining. It's hard to communicate with people in a serious manner when you're too stoned to realized what is happening around you. And people who are high FREAK OUT ABOUT EVERYTHING. Calm down and things will go a lot smoother.

Also once again keep note that this was a free party. Jesse paid 50$ for it, I paid 140$ for it and no one else contributed any other funding. Mickos, Emilie, Mike brought extra equipment which was needed. If you want better equipment and stuff, maybe we can setup a party fund to buy better equipment and such to do FREE events. Also FREE means you can't complain. Everyone was FREE to leave if they didn't like something and nothing was being done about it.

Once again we have to thank the guy living in the place for letting us use the place for the night. Hopefully he will have his home again and they didn't block off all access to the building.

one thing I find somewhat interesting in retrospect is that this place wasn't all that much bigger than an apartment, and we weren't being super loud either...

In other words, we could throw house parties like that! Avoiding any illegality altogether. But even at a house party, people need to respect common sense, I mean, if you are chilling outside a place that we are supposed to be keeping hidden, if you can see the street, the street can see you. Doesn't take a genius to realize that.
I realize that some of you didn't want to stay inside for whatever reason, but it's not fair to get the party discovered and shut down for everyone, so next time... You don't want to stay inside? Leave. Because there's no 'going back inside later' when the party is more likely to be shut down because of you.
So in the future, for anyone who was outside, use your noodle and stay out of sight and stay quiet.
I'm feeling hype right now..
