I recently bumped into this scumbag who used to mock me continually for making a living off djing

He used to work some easy 9 - 5 at some company and used to make lots of cash

He's been out of work for 3 months, has turned into an alcoholic and even asked me to loan him some money.

Its funny how a change in the economy kindof puts things in perspective,

In the meantime I've been playing non stop through all this nonsense

On top of that my record collection keeps on gaining value every year

Good luck to you guys out there, you're gonna need it, cause the job market sucks right now
I'm feeling like the good guy right now..

this is only the buiginning mind you, market gets hit at the end of this year.

prices of everything should get out of hand really soon .

have you notice , nothing exist in the dollar ranges. then went for the 5$ now its all 10$ min now, soon ill hit goods like milk bread and butter. etc..

the 100% gas price increment leed way to having everything ranging +/-100%, so wait till we hit 4 bells of +100% increment on goods that just had a +100% increment the day before.

i expect a worse downfall than everybody imo.

I dunno Cutter,

What do people usually do with paintings, stamp collections or rare records in times when everyones broke?

You hang on to them

People love art, art never dies, it only increases in value

Cutter, I'm not talking about scratched dj records here, those I keep obviously, I'm talking about records I've picked up over the years, many in great condition.

You talking to a guy who used to work fulltime in a record store and spends most of his freetime digging. I know what records are worth

The hand that feeds me is that of Ronald's. And he does it for only 1.69+tax. And he is neither a woman, nor a child.

when people lose their jobs they tend to cut down or eliminate luxuries.. like going out to bars/clubs and getting gouged on drinks.. that means DJs get less business.
I'm feeling over 9000 right now..

Dude, one thing you don't understand if that I've been through poverty, I've seen hard times before in my life, I'm not worried at all.

I'm not materialistic either, it dosen't bother me I don't own a car, a boat or a luxury apartment, thats not what makes you happy in life trust me.

What you do and what I do is very similar Cutter, its doing something you enjoy, me is playing music for people, you its fixing stuff. Neither of us are gonna get rich doing it, but at least you're you own boss and trust me its much better than doing something you hate for twice the money.

Its ironic that right now, everythings going great, I'm actually making good money spinning, have lots of free time to roam the city looking for music, hang out with girls (fuck, girls are so cool :)
sleep in and watch all the movies I want when everyone around me seems to be going through hell financially.

Life is sweet :)

Not true. I watched a report on the television stating that since the decline in the state of the economy, alcohol sales have been steadily increasing. The reason being that people tend to indulge themselves in tough times, to keep a high moral.
I'm feeling cool right now..

bliss > this year is the year my buiznes is supposed to make good money.

but i wont be able to make some if no one has cash.

i am used to live on a strict budget too, well probably take whatever opportunity that will fall on/in our hands. i was saying this to know if your aware that, this
situation, will backlash. and somewhere we will feel the effect of other people going out of money, job ,houses.

expect them to compare lifestyles. (people with good money are loosing everything.
and if you think we cant sink anylower , well i have to burt a bubble and say : IT CAN)
