I need to give Fatal Frame 2 a shot, I was putting it off untill I finished the 1st one (I <3 XBMC+torrents)..

Much as I love Silent Hill 2 (it's the first one I played), I love Silent Hill 3 so much it's insane (despite it missing the best part of SH2; the walking through the city).. I can get through SH3 in a little under 2 hours (I think I did it in 1h48 last I played)
I'm feeling your norks right now..

One survival horror I really loved was Siren for the PS2.

8 people fight to survive a cursed island for 3 days and you get to play each one through the weekend. They don't know each other at first but you have them meet and interact.

The best two things about the game was:
1- You had a three days schedule and each "episode" was an hour in the weekend. Once you finished it and found a new survivor, you could play HIS version of that hour, and so on. Actions undertaken by one survivor would open paths to another somewhere else. (i.e. first guy finds a way to unlock a certain door that doesn't do much for HIM but would later allow another survivor to go through to find safety, instead of being stuck and killed.

2- Everyone is infected by the "curse" and can SEE in the heads of the smart zombies. You have that kind of remote viewing where you tune in a direction and are able to see what the zombie is seeing. Problem is, as you go through the weekend, you start becoming one of them (the infection gave you the powers, which are a result of the transformation). As you become like them, they start seeing through YOUR eyes as well.

It was so fucking difficult but so rewarding :D
I'm feeling happy right now..

cryNDubSTep: that game looks cool as fuck thanx for the headsup !

and Skate 2 i dunno! its the first time i play skate in my life and seriously i didnt like my first try(im gonna give it a second shot today) i dunno maybe its because ive been playing tony hawk since it first came out on pS1(good fucking times!!!!!!!)

its interesting how you to kick flip and everything but i keep falling everywhere and those controls are too different for me to just pick it up and play ! so well see how it goes after a few sesh(session and im sorry cause i hate people saying SESH for session) ehaheah

also theres a new TONY HAWK coming to xbox ! its in the work they want to make a SKATEBOARD CONTROLLER ... not really sure how that will end up looking like but cant wait to check it out !

oh and the graphics and animation and textures for SKATE 2 are awesome ! seriously im kinda pissed that the game wasnt as easy as i thought it would be since ive been playing the THPS games all these years! maybe ill play the demo a few times and change my mind!

and OH YEAH BIG UP FALLout 3 ! i keep enjoyin this game everytime i open up and play for 2-3hours max! after that i need a break! those critters in the wasteland are fucking aggressive sometimes!

anyways im rambling too much peace
I'm feeling failling pailing right now..

the last few tony hawk games were balls though...
skate 1 totally ate up his market.
skate is alot more of a skateboard simulator.
no b.s. 30 trick combos, and you actually have to ollie up curbs.
once you get used to the controls there is no going back.
the demo for skate 2 really got me wanting the full game, but i find the feel for 2 isn't as good as the first one and the lighting isn't as good either...
maybe i'll get used to it though.
the new moves are dope and there is still alot of room to "break the game".
movable objects are pretty dope too.

Murdock, does the Skate 2 demo have at least one huge level to try or is it on a timer or something ?

I won't download the demo if I can't play for more than 15 minutes or if half the moves are locked.
I'm feeling like marcus phenix right now..

Merci du détail, Oli ! So yeah, it's not like a 200 GB drive on my 360 so I'll skip on that demo.

But man, does the game ever look awesome. :)

yeah the timer sucks and only the first skatepark is open.
all the moves are open though
and i found a glitch that lets you get into the street and get a real taste of the new world.
(grab on object and pull it with you back facing the fence to get out and you can glitch through it)
and the new moves (crail slides, hand & foot plants) and ability to move objects are starting to get me over the new feel.
it seems they took out the coffin move though??
anyway... only 2 weeks till the official release...
and Aprime... if you wanna grind... just line it up like you would in real life...
and use the left stick for variations... ie. up = nose grind, down = 5.0 same applies to board slides.
just turn your body a little before and it'll give you rails and lips...
up and down will give you nose, tail and blunts.
it's really about visualizing the moves like you would on a real skateboard.
the tutorial on the demo does suck ass...
i'm sure it's better on the full version and skate 1 is phenomenal and probably my favorite xbox game to date.
i really hope the 2nd compares.
the higher frame rate of 2 seems to slow it down a lot.
