You're never gonna go wrong with these headphones! The most common thibg that breaks/fucks up on headphones is the cord, and on the Stantons the cord comes out! So if it fucks up, you just get another one at 15-20$ and replace it yourself and they're good as new.

Now for the shocker recomendation: If you just want cheap that sounds decent get the in-ear SkullCandy ones.. Not "regular" earbuds, but the ones that come with extra little rubber pieces that are small/med/large depending on the size of your ear.. Those are what I'm using with my PSP, and they not only isolate the sound as well as most of the big DJ headphones that cover your whole ear, but the bass actually comes out really fucking good as if you had those big headphones on.

Yeah, but if your wire ever fucks up, what you gonna do? You gotta replace the whole headphones, or crack it open and get a soldering iron to fix it, or bring it into a shop to get repaired and pay a technician out the ass.

With the Stantons, if your headphone wire fucks up, all you have to do is pull the plug out and replace the wire yourself; no need to open it and solder, no need to bring it to a shop, no need to get the whole kit replaced..

I had a pair of Sennheiser PX 100 (much like the PX 200 Shindy posted) earlier, and the sound was crystal clear. Besides, the price and the practicability (not looking like an astronaut in a metro) of the headphones are really worth looking into.

Downside; like all headphones, age caught up to them and the wires starting fucking up, making it work only for the right channel. Oh well...

The auduo Technicas sound like crap (in my opinion). They are cheap, robust like tupperware and stylish though.

For closed earphones the Sony mdr 7506 sound realy good but are more fragile. They have 2 models that are very similar, the professional and the digital. the latter is about 20$ cheaper. The 7509 have way more bass and are more solid.

Ché pas Louis, ak des headphones aussi chère. J'me promènerais pas avec ça... de plus, c'est de l'usure en surcharge qui serait mieux utilisé à mixer chez soi ou bien dans les parties.

personally, Sony MdrV600's are my #1 choice, my last pair lasted 7years, my current pair will probably last me that long as well... comfy, adjustable, very sturdy, great sound, they aren't the global standard for nothing...

i never got why people are fans of Sony headphones. 've always found that they are ugly, and he sound is shit. some of 'em are durable, but that depends on which pair and the price range.

Personal fav is Sennheiser...

For durability, it's easy: be careful! no headphones will last if you pull on cords, drop 'em, or lend them to a hardcore DJ... .. .
I'm feeling you up right now..

Me to... but the hd600's

Peoples like the sony's because, as far as closed earphones for under 200$, they are some of the best sounding and they are loud.

Beyeurdynamic dt250 sound nice, they arent as crisp as the sony's and you have way less output but for jazz and classical, they are superior. They are quite comfy as well, but the velvet earpieces might get a little funky if you sweat a lot.

Seinheiser's are sweet. I'm not a big fan of there closed earphones but there open one's are the best.
The cord on senheiser's are shit though.

The Sony MdrV600's look exactly the same as the Sony mdr7509... great earphones, great bass response.
I'm feeling love right now..

Are you talking about dj headphones or studio headphones? The ATH-PRO5's are the best dj headphones next to the senheisser HD-25 SP II's. You don't need "bass response" when you're playing in a club bumping plenty of it. Dj's aren't supposed to mix out of their headphones, they're only there for reference. And the the bass is fine on the PRO5's btw. And they're very durable.

I'm talking all around headphone.

I'll let the dj's talk about what best for live mixing, I thought that he just wanted some headphones for his girlfriend so she could listen to her ipod.

Most girls I see prefer something a little lighter, more delicate... like the seinheiser px100
[ www.headphone.com ]
I personally own a pair of these and can say that they are very flat/even sounding headphones for there size.

I gotta say the AT'S are some of the best looking earphones out there, right up there with the skullcandy's [ www.skullcandy.com ] , but i was disappointed when i tried them against the Sony's.

but hey, everyones ears are different.
