You should read some more of the thread; he is lying about a ton of shit to get sympathy he doesn't deserve, and I feel absolutely fuck-all for calling out a fraud.

Just incase you don't feel like going over the whole 16 other pages:
- he had no drivers license and shouldn't have been driving the car to begin with
- driving at 40km/h doesn't make you uproot a tree and slam into another car so hard that someone gets pinned in the car and dies, no matter how much black ice is on the road
- they were never dating; he may have loved her and they may have been hanging out more for the past couple of weeks, but almost all of her friends are saying that she wasn't going out with him.
- he didn't go and "save her" from attempting to commit suicide like he claims, they snuck out of the house with another friend to go smoke some weed, and she'd texted some of her friends to see if they were awake and wanted to come out with them.

Her death is absolutely his fault, despite it being an "accident"; he should have NEVER been in the car to begin with, let alone speeding at what's probably closer to 70-80km/h without even a real license!

I never said the accident was intentional, that was something horus was saying could be a possibility. What I'm saying is that if he hadn't been completely irresponsible, this girl would still be alive today, and he should get treated with the same amount of hate you'd give to a drunk driver that kills someone.

this is a car that gets into an accident at what the guy claims is 30km/h, but most people are saying looks more like a car accident at 70-80km/h:

this is what his car looked after hitting some black ice at "40km/h"

here's an interesting read; the arguments from Facebook are even going onto another site about kids killed in car accidents: [ gigababy.blogspot.com ]

he's even gone and deleted the facebook group, because there were too many people calling him out on his bullshit lying. He was going and deleting people's posts because they were telling the truth about his lies and calling him on his hollywood-style "I'll always love you" bullshit story.

here's a good read from the comments on that gigababy blog:

Jeff! said...

This blog is a testament to something that Cindy and others really believe in, that car accidents are caused occurrences and that the driving masses have become complacent in their approach to the real dangerous responsibility driving is.

So much can go wrong in a split second while driving and this site, especially Cindy, works real hard examining all the factors that contributed to a tragedy and great effort is made to explain why and how it happened and what can be done to prevent others from experiencing a similar fate.

No one likes it when a victim of a road tragedy surfaces on this site as people still view accidents as a private affair and find it extremely disrespectful, as they move through their grief, that there is a website - Gigababy's Web Creed - that refuses to accept that nothing could be done; that accidents happen and people die for a reason. Not on the road, they don't. Maybe in war. Maybe by disease. But having lost my own mother at the hands of a speeding drunk driver, I have never found a good reason for her death. The man who killed her? His life moved forward. Mine stood still. Sure, I grew older but my mother is frozen in time. My memories of her stop at a date. For my whole life after that, I have walked without her and it's been a lonely road. Her death was preventable. I refuse to stand by and wring my hands and nod in agreement along with others that car accidents are just a part of life.

No, they are not.

I am a doctor. I work with animals. I deal with grief on a weekly basis. I hold the hands of kids who are dealing with the loss of a family friend they've known all their lives. I've had kids look up at me, hands entwined in the fabric of my lab coat and sob, asking me why God could be so cruel to make their kitty die. I get asked if there is anything more I can do. In medicine, death is all about prevention. As a doctor, I only want my animal patients to die for one reason - old age, as no person or animal lives forever.

The worse tragedy for me is when animals are brought in after being hit by a car. I run a weekend emergency clinic and weekends, for some reason, demonstrate a higher instance for dogs and cats being struck by vehicles. The first thing I ask all my patients' owners is why was the dog on the road? Immediately, the responses are defensive as owners automatically assume I am looking to lay blame. This website is no different. If you own a dog or cat, you are responsible for that animal's safety at all times. Cats shouldn't be allowed to wonder in high traffic density and over-populated areas as they are at great risk for vehicular injury. Dogs should be well restrained at all times, as they are impulsive in nature and should be fenced in, especially in urban areas. Farm dogs and cats have a lower risk for meeting a deadly fate with a car, but I still question owners of dogs who, knowing they've had issues with their dogs wondering on the road in the past, didn't make changes to prevent it.

I get angry. I'm left with the dog or cat in the operating room while the owners pace and worry either at home or in the waiting area. I can see how much pain the animal is in. My heart races and I bark at my technicians and staff as saving a life is measured in seconds, and there's no time for guessing or hesitation. I'm not afraid to lecture a owner and I'm not afraid to lecture drivers and passengers or friends and family members on this site. Someone has to say it, no matter how much it hurts.

If you know driving is dangerous, why do you still drive poorly? If you know not wearing a seat belt is a deadly decision, why do you do it? If you know drinking greatly impairs judgment, why do you still think driving after a couple of drinks is okay? I will ask these questions, even as you are grieving, as there is never a good time but sometimes, the best time is when something bad happens, as most people don't think and there is this state of denial that somehow, accidents and death at the hands of another driver only happen to other people. Or in my case, that only other people's animals get hit by cars. Why? Owners tell me this a lot, "I'm a good dog owner". I usually say, "No, you are not". I don't say 'I know'. I don't nod. I don't give a sympathetic smile. A good dog owner would make sure their dog was properly restrained so it didn't wander into a neighbour's pond, fall in and too old and weak to swim, the dog drowned to death.

People make mistakes, yes, but how many times did that owner in the months preceding the dog's unfortunate death did he or she look at the hole in the fence and comment out loud that perhaps he or she should get that fixed?

I have no patience for negligence but I have compassion, and despite my anger, I will still do everything in my power to save a pet. Just like this website, we get mad and upset when we learn innocent people have been injured or killed, but we keep hammering away, reminding people of the consequences, outlining the errors, outlining the dangers, highlighting prevention because we believe everyone is capable of making changes. Bad habits can be corrected. Road tragedies can be prevented. We can't save those we've lost, but we can save those left behind.

Regards
Jefferey Patterson, DVM

Screwhead, your assessment of the situation is pretty unfounded, to say the least.

Like, what kinds of tree was it? How big was it? was the tree frozen? All stuff that is important in determining the speed needed by a car (what kind of car?) slipping on black ice, to break a tree.

I hit some black ice last year and there is fuck all you can do but try to steer and brace for impact.

The kid was reckless, inexperienced and unlucky but i'm sure he is in a lot of pain right now. I dont get why you feel the need to kick him while he is down.

You may be right, but you most certainly where wrong to bring it up like that.
Just made you sound like a callous bastard.

absolutely.

But, since he did not have a full license, only a learner's permit, and he was driving without someone with a full license in the front seat, his learner's permit is about as valid as if he'd scribbled some words with a crayon on a piece of paper: He did not have a license, which means that, no matter how many courses he'd taken, he still hadn't been deemed knowlegable enough to be given a full license.

So, with a learner's permit, well, look at the flowchart I put together.

It's not rocket science: you don't have a license, you don't drive a car, no matter WHAT the reason.

if he was a drunk driver and killed the girl would you still feel all sad and sorry for him? Fuck no, because driving drunk is something that's 1: illegal, 2: stupid and 3: gets people killed!

Well, guess what? Driving without a license is something that is 1: illegal, 2: stupid and 3: gets people killed!

Speeding (let alone when there's a snow storm!)? Gues what! It's 1: illegal, 2: stupid and 3: gets people killed!

if he wouldn't have gotten into the car, she would still be alive.

if he was a good driver and had only his learner's permit, and he'd gotten into the car anyways despite it being COMPLETELY ILLEGAL, he'd have followed the speed limit and the girl would still be alive.

But no, he was irresponsible and stupid; he got into a car and drove WITHOUT A LICENSE and proceded to SPEED DURRING A SNOW STORM.

Does ANYONE see how, if he'd have followed some simple driving RULES, she would still be alive? Anyone? For fuck sakes, I don't even have a learner's permit and only got behind the wheel of a car once when my mother made me drive around a parking lot to try and get me interested in learning to drive, but I know enough of the driving code to know that:
you DO NOT drive a car without a license
Speeding is illegal
roads in the winter time are dangerous and you should actually be driving SLOWER than the limit, just incase there are things like black ice on the road.

My problem is not so much that he's breaking the law, as you've pointed out. My problem is that he's trying to get pitty that he doesn't deserve by lying, and that he's trying to dodge responsibility for a fuckup that he did by lying about the driving conditions (his speeding/being stoned).

I fully believe in responsibility to the responsible, which is a slightly less-lame way of saying "don't do the crime if you aren't willing to do the time". If I get a ticket for jaywalking, I'm not going to bitch about it. If I play at an illegal party that gets busted, yeah it's a bitch, but it's a risk that comes with the territory. If it comes down to it and I ever kill someone because I'm pissed off at them, I'm not going to go and try to plead temporary insanity; I very much can and will admit to my fuckup and not try and get undeserved pitty or compassion from the situation.
