No matter whether you forgive him he will live with the guilt for the rest of his life. Methinks he should be encouraged to use this experience for the better and anger and hate from society is not a good form of encouragement in that direction.
I been in cars with careless drivers enough times im super lucky to be alive. I could have been killed many times. Those are people who feel immune and don't realize that accidents happens, the ones who really need to hear a lecture. I don't think you can feel immune after shit like this, after you experience the very reason these laws are in place. Maybe the reason people feel so damn immune in the first place is cause when shit does happen.. you would label the drivers bad people instead of regular people. But bottom line.. forgiveness does not let him off the hook. Or even close. The damage has been done. |
