nope. Seriously I'm curious. All i see now is psy and ever so rarely hardcore. Everything else has moved to bar nights =p. Last time i saw marco corola was at parking, DJ rush was at club soda etc.
I'm feeling gettin more ink soon right now..

It is fucking repetitive,

Out of all the styles of electronic music,

Techno is definitely the most boring and uncreative,

And I've been listening to electronic music for over 20 years,

To me underground is stuff like ambient, dubstep, idm, hardcore, acid house, industrial, breakbeat, dnb etc...

All styles that you hardly ever hear in clubs

Just don't tell me *boom boom boom* is underground,

It isn't

ME, I, I, I , I , ME, ISN't IT ???

i'll change my name to blisssss and use an avatar with a smily face getting shot in the eye... that's so much more positive in every way, then i'll ask questions to people and when they answer i'll show them just how stupid they are by enlightening them with "the truth"...

or maybe i can throw a weekly event for the next 10 years than say that i'm the one responsible for the techno movement in montreal, then talk about how un-underground techno is in a topic i created, pointing out that it's repetive even if the entire structure that techno lives on is loop-based. damn, i'm so inteligent.

ohh, and when you reply, i'll keep using term's like "I'LL take you a bit more seriously" like it really matter's what "I" do or think.
I'm feeling hot n spicy right now..

Montreal hasnt had a techno party you say? What about last weekend of may with christ liberator and a whole room almost dedicated to techno sorts?
What about wemf and all the tehcno djs there/
what about a bunch of toronto parties
or when you guys invite unabomber to play and he does dirty ass techno for you guys?
wow and then your generalizing underground base don 1 city in the entire countrys scene

*sigh*

I hate how people generalize and assume they are right because they have no experience or knowledge on the matter so they must be right

I think undergroun d is made up of new and upcoming artists and ideas that people havnt seen or heard much of before and is just starting to rbeak through
for instance toronto has this mungle thing going on, still fairly new, not many djs going towards that style and therefor i classify that as underground
the same could be said for psy breaks as another example
I'm feeling job hunting continue right now..

after a two and a half week hiatus from MTL, and this shit is still going on...

techno has many sub divisions, you can't say hardcore is underground and then say techno isn't. hardcore is techno. techno is too repetitive? hardcore hasn't been repetitive for some time now (depending on the label and track or artist). breaks is techno too. it's also "non-repetive" but still loop based. this argument is moot. what's underground is what's not pop, regardless of song strong structure. that's it.

once again, bliss, making fun of well respected people like Clown is not gonna make you any friends.
starting topics that are even more redundant than techno is also not helping your ego-maniacal cause.

when will the madness end!!!

Ok I'm gonna assume you've been off the board a while,

So you probably missed Clown starting some beef with me,

Which I found extremely unprofessional on his part,

So in response I kinda made fun of his name, well actually all I did was call him Clown.

BTW I've never heard of the guy and I don't know what scene he claims to get respect from

Judging from the mix I heard by him he seems like a debutant dj who dosen't know much about music

Your right though, I'm hoping the madness will end soon

So Clown, I'm sorry if I made fun of your dj name after you insulted me for no reason

You can stop crying now

There you go, problem solved, good guy wins again :)

i think the most frustrating thing is your constant claiming of victory...

Jello Biafra/Revolting Cocks:

"everyday my thoughts are consumed by winning

i must win and everything I do I must win

my car must win
my money must win
my hair must win
my kids must win
my weiner must win
my wife must win
my mistress must win
my trip to the bunny ranch must win

i must win in business
i must win when i mow the lawn
if i do not win i am not control
so i must win
again and again
i don't need more but i must have it
more more
when the game gets old i must win
i must win
everyone else must lose
because i must win
we have met the weapon of mass destruction
and it is us

first in war
first in guns
first in beauty
first in fun
first in waste
first to first base
first in bloody aftertaste
first in waste
first to first base
first in bloody aftertaste

this is viagra culture
this is my legacy

be honored
you girls gone wild
this is how life must be
to keep the sheep asleep (asleep)
viagra stars
viagra cars
viagra farms
viagra scars
this is viagra culture
this is my legacy

this is viagra culture

this is what you get

and nothing is ever enough
we get bored when we can't get stuffed
we like our leaders to be stupid and violent
regular guys like us
whats so bad about my wardrobe
when we are the ones who got overdosed
never share anything with anyone else
or you're a bunch of girly men

this is viagra culture
this is my legacy

this is what you get"

...i hope the sarcasm isn't lost on you...

now stick to the subject you started instead of turning everything against people you feel may have insulted you on this board.

judging from the comment I read you seem like a 15 year old candy kid who has sandstorm traffic and shooting star on your i-pod play list

I've seen you mix quite a few times, and I'll say it, your good, but your like that kid in grade 6 math who got a 97 on his quiz and goes around bragging and asking everyone else what they got. I'm pretty sure you shit in a bowl and fucking keep it under your bead at night just to be able to smell it all night long.

All I'm saying is that nobody likes well...I'm not gonna go out on a limb to insult you. All I can say is that I'm pretty sure more then 75% of people know who dj clown is at a party, where as maybe 20% might know who you are.

ANNNNDD BTW, 95% of resident djs i've seen play at bars are total crap. Keep that one in mind.
I'm feeling wtf charles? right now..
