it's so funny now to watch it! my perception of the movie have totally changed.. like when i was 6 i didn't see the comedic elements in the flick at all... it was like puuuure terror haha/ |

| Coolness: 685740 | That's a really tough one.. Michael Myers gets points for being the one that originated the silent, unstopable slasher with a mask genre.. Jason was great, starting off as an unstopable retard and then turning into an unstopable zombie (who then turned out to have a demon inhabiting his body)..
But Freddy takes it for me. Other than sharing initials (Freddy Kreuger - Fred Kerdraon), he had a personality and wasn't just a mindless killer in a mask.. Anyone could play Jason or Mike Meyers, you just have to be imposing enough.. But there could only be one Freddy Kreuger.. He got a little too silly at some points, but the first 2 Nightmare on Elm Street movies are genuinley creepy, and well made horror movies.. Oddly, 6 is my favorite one.. It's got this look and feel like it's a caricture of the real world, so the absurdity that Freddy's degenerated into fits in more than 3-5, where the world seemed too "real" for how silly he was being. And the 7th; A New Nightmare, was an amazing idea for a movie, and it's got to be one of the best re-imagings of a horror franchise, especially when they take the whole thing past the fourth wall and admit that the previous ones were all movies and the people were all actors, but now their movie creation is real, and since they created it, only they can stop it.. |

bhahahaha i like your way of saying things haha the first nightmare on elm street was great.. nancy was so cool. my fav scene is when the couple are in the bedroom and the girl's having a dream and she get stuck in the blade and she roll around agsint the wall and celling. that was so fucking great! did you notice they are doing a remake of the first installement.. coming out in 2010! |
