In every party, i dont care how small, there is always at least one chick who totaly gets off on tam tam's.

*note to all the wannabe percussionists out there:
1. Dont play besides the dj booth, most dj's are pissed of by tams.
2. At the front of the room, the sound level is way to loud to play with your hands and not bust a veine.
3. If you move to the back of the room, you can actualy hear what you are playing.
4. If there are no tam's around dont go hitting on a beer bottle.
5. Practice at home
I'm feeling home right now..

I've got a better idea; If you're good and want to bring music to the party, get yourself put on the lineup or leave the musical instruments at home and let the people who are bringing the music to the crowd bring THEIR music to the crowd.

Just like you wouldn't bring your guitar to a Steve Vai concert to "add something more to the vibe", if you're not on the lineup, leave your fucking shit at home.
I'm feeling fuckin' crazy right now..

no, tam-tams are retarded, and bringing them to a party is an insult to the DJs and promoters. It's like saying "Well, you guys are good, but *I'M* just SO awesome that I've come to fill the MASSIVE gap in music that you're obviously not able to fill yourselves.
I'm feeling fuckin' crazy right now..

Thats one way of seeing it.

Getting on the bill? Way to official for most.

Comparing a dj who is playing records of other peoples music to Steve Vai who writes all his own music And plays it live is kinda week.

Keep in mind that a lot of peoples actually like tams, sometimes even more than the dj.

He did a bit with White Snake, he was with Frank Zappa to play all the insane guitar parts that Frank wrote but no-one could play.. he's one of Joe Satriani's students, and probably one of the best technical guitar players on the planet.

is he "funky"?

if not then uhhh,

hahaha, whats the point!

viva la funky psytrance! or whaah?

maybe the title of this event, was done on purpose to create a lil hype through critism and drama,
kinda like the ol' sayin "bad publicity, IS PUBLICITY!"

"BUTT-FUCK A FETUS" still sounds better to me tho
I'm feeling your nuts right now..

Well fore sure adding instrumentalists is always
a risk, but when the musicien has a good ear it can
be great!the hardest to synchro with a dj is a a drummer
on a traditional drum kit cause the drummer cant really
hear the dj!I've participated in various jams with up
to 10 people playing at the same time(including 3 dj's)
a lot of the time it was disastrous sometimes it was heavenly!
But personally i really love jamming with a good tam tamer
as long as he ain't on speed(cant stand anybody who takes speed really)
Tams are not compatable with all types of music however
it is quite ridicoulous to try to jam on happy hardcore
and drum n bass(ouch my finger is blue!).
but goes well with tribal house & prog-psy cause usually
the psy dj's mix the track at the 6;30 minute mark
after the break so it leaves the drummer enough time
before to perform and usually a professinal will
quiet up after the break so the dj can concetrate on his mix!
I'm feeling family guy right now..
