 Coolness: 158215 | 25th Hour (I watched it last night for a second time)
Probably the only Spike Lee movie I've really enjoyed watching. Man spends his last day of freedom (before going to prison for seven years) by making peace with his father, his friends and a girlfriend that might or might not have been the one who's given him to the cops. It's emotional without being cheesy and very raw in some scenes. Two particular scenes make the whole thing a memorable experience: a scene in which the viewer is shown the ills of New York, going group by group, race by race, neighborhood by neighborhood and one of the last scenes in which the same examples are used to show the good sides of New York (the same actors are also used, which I thought was a brilliant move). Do I recommend? It feels like Carlitto's Way but replace the Hollywood sauce with the Sundance vinaigrette. What I mean is, this is the kind of movie that makes you appreciate your friends' loyalty. So yes, I recommend. |

Comment: Being a Hunter S. Thompson documentary obviously this is more a movie than fan are going to enjoy, but HST being a man so ALIVE for lack of better termes, I think most people would enjoy learning a little about the man. Do I recommend? Yes unless you know and strongly dislike the man. |

comment: intéressant! les images sont vraiment débil et l'histoire à son charme. J'ai trouvé un peu long et certain moment un peu prévisible ou incompréhensible. Mais ça fais changement de ce qu'on a l'habitude de voir. Je le conseil si vous cherchez quelque chose à faire de relaxes un mardi soir! 2- Pirates (a Porn movie) comment: trop de dialogue inutile, l'humour volontaire impertinente (étant donné que c'est déjà assez drôle comme ça quand c'est pas voulu), et les tetons des chicks étaient horrible en général. Y'a quand même des scène hot, mais ça l'aurait pu être encore plus hot hahah. ça la quand même faite ma soirée de samedi soir haha |

Le plus gros budget dans un porn et c'est pas mal réussi. Sauf pour les barbies plastiques. |

stais pas si mal comme film mais comme jdis trop de dialogue pour un gros rien maiton! et en effet les filles était archi plastique, ce qui arrive souvent dans ces films, mais la meme mon chum trouvais que leur tetons bougeais pas comme ils devraient hahaha :P |

But the ending did not satisfy me though.. Loved the characters though, they're all so unique and expressive! Think I should watch more japanese films |

Comment:c'était crissement bon,beaucoup connaissent l'histoire de frank lucas célèbre gangster américain des années 70.Il s'occupait du trafic d'héroine a n.y. pendant la guerre du vietnam.Mais le sujet est traité sans glorifié le style de vie gangster mais beaucoup plus pour expliqué comment frank a bati son empire et comment le célèbre policier qui était sur son cas a réussi au travers d'un corps policier complètement corrumpus,a gardé la tete froide et faire tombé un des gangsters qui était le plus respecté dans le milieux. |

Best Samurai Movie EVER! If any of you are Wu-Tang fans, most of the samples from GZA's Liquid Swords album come fromt his movie. This movie was also released under the title Lonewolf and the Cub. It's the story of "the greatest samurai in the empire" turning against his Shogun Master to avenge his wife. Amazing movie if you like the genre, I suggest you get the Shogun Assassin version as it is completely remastered with a killer sound track and surprisingly good dubbing. I usually always stick to the original dubbing and read subtitles as you don't feel the emotion behind teh characters, especially when it comes to old asian movies, but this one takes the cake. Spark a spliff, bust out the popcorn and enjoy this bloodbath. |

The book was amazing!! I did not saw the movie yet, but when I was reading the book a lot of time I felt like I could actualy smell what Grenouille was smelling. Hope the movie is as good :) |
