Sean Connery as a King is interesting.

Last "movie" I've seen: Sliders pilot (episode 1).
My comment: I'd forgotten how good Sliders was.
Do I recommend: Any fan of alternate universes and "everything goes wrong" series should watch. The last few seasons are weak, though. However, Kari Wuhrer is a major babe.
I'm feeling sick right now..

Last movie I watched was cloverfield. Thought I was going to love it. Turns out it was another hollywood lamefest. Why's there always a fair maiden up in a tower that needs to be saved? I wanted those rich kids stomped

You know what we need to do, right? Mix the genres. Giant monster movies always (or almost) have a romantic background (or in the case of Cloverfield, it's the entire plot and the monster is the background element). But we need to add more basic plots with giant monster backgrounds.

I'd see something like... The Godfather. With Godzilla in the background. A time piece war drama (during the Civil War?) with giant aliens or monsters.

Mix shit up!
I'm feeling creative right now..

But Mothra is not evil! And not a destructor. She's the guardian spirit of Infant Island! She fights Godzilla only when he goes on rampages.

no, but GOZER is a destructor! (THE Destructor, actually!)

So, Frankenstein as James Bond trying to save the world from Gozer?

I loved it...I only watched it for Sienna Miller too. By the time I figured out she only got 2 minutes of camera time, I didnt even care. What a magical fantasy adventure film.

whoo! i'm on a musicals spree!
ONCE: dubliner street busker meets young lady, turns out she's not to shabby on dem keys. They collabo some songs together, have some kind of complicated love-thing...I won't give away the end. quite good I thought.

HEDWIG & THE ANGRY INCH: Botched sex-change operation leaves poor hansel with a button where there used to be a lever. I wanted to see this one for awhile. worth the wait. loved the little animated parts too.

CONTROL: Ian and his mates form a band...we all know how that turns out. It was alright I guess...nothing really stood out..
I'm feeling low right now..

Sympathy for Lady Vengeance
Comment: Seen it when it came out. Watched it again. Chan-wook's Park's last movie bout revenge, it's probably his most beautiful. Chan-wook has an eye for cinematographic beauty and knows very well how to mix it with very raw, intense emotions. Though I still prefer his best of the three, "Oldboy", "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" is simply stunning.

As for the three movies, the story focuses on a character stuck in a situation where vengeance is called for. The movie follows the reasons, means and repercussions that a life of vengeance will take. Unlike the other two movies, this one is less ambiguous about who is rightfully avenging whom. Still, technically, it's better made.

Do I recommend? Hell yes! However, I'd go with Oldboy first, if you haven't seen either. The first movie, Sympathy for Mister Vengeance, is excellent as well, though my third favorite.
I'm feeling erisian right now..

Sunshine

This movie is up there with Event Horizon for space type thriller, although not of the horror genre. Basically, 8 astronauts are on a mission to drop a bomb with the mass equivalent to the island of Manhattan on the sun in order to try to rejuvenate it, as its just about finished and the entire earth is in perpetual winter.

Watch it, it won't disappoint. Soundtrack by Underworld.
I'm feeling unenthused right now..

Hammerhead Shark Frenzy

Scientist gets exiled from scientific community for working on cross-species mutations. Scientist's son gets kidney cancer. Scientist uses hammerhead shark cells to cure son's cancer. Son turns into half man, half shark mutant. Scientist wants to get revenge for exile, so invites former coleagues to an isolated island and sets his son loose to hunt them down.

Jeffery Combs is the scientist.

Cheezy B horror for the motherfucking win.

Jeffery Combs can do no wrong.

The ultimate movie ever would be Jeffery Combs as the evil scientist badguy, and Bruce Campbell as the hero who has to save the world.

I swear I'd explode just from watching the trailer of something like that.
I'm feeling fuckin' crazy right now..
