Living Dead Girl is far from being Jean Rollin's worst film (that honor probably goes to Demoniacs - or Zombie Lake). It's certainly not as good as Lips Of Blood or Shiver Of The Vampire, though...

Hmm... looks like you've really got it in for Italy, 'cause Lamberto Bava's Demoni isn't all that bad (I liked the sequel a bit better, though)... and The Beyond?? Don't dis on The Beyond. There's some phenomenal stuff in that film. Loads of up-close eye gouging and a great exploding head bit. If you're really looking for the worst track down Zombie '90 or Bruno Mattei's Zombi 3... both of which are ridiculously bad.

maybe it's an aquired taste - but some of Rollin's early work is great... the score for Shiver Of The Vampires alone makes the film worthwhile... not to mention the nods to Dreyer's Vampyr!!

yeah... Carl Dreyer. His first sound film was Vampyr: The Dream of Allan Grey - there's some really surreal moments in it. It was pretty poorly received at the time, but it has the same sort of atmosphere as some of Guy Maddin's films. Hopefully someone will do a new transfer of it, because the version that Image released is terrible (not such a great print - and the subtitling is an absolute disaster).

No no Fishead.....,don't get my comment wrong. I have these movies in my collection. I love Rollins. I love Bava's kid, and love Fulci. The Beyond is so BAD that it's AMAZING. Come on, how did that women end up under that beaker of acid? It's awesome!

Burial Ground is worse that Zombie Lake have you seen it. Retarded all the way. That's why is soooo good!

Return Of The Living Dead was on the Scream channel last night so luckily I caught the last 30 mins or so.
I love the way movies suggest how the military should quarantine such outbreak situations... Then again realistically I suppose Louisville would be expendable anyways.
I'm feeling you up right now..

Well, it IS the military's fault kinda.. The barels were shipped to the wrong place and were intended to be buried/hidden where no one would find them... Typical army fuckup.
I'm feeling fat and sassy right now..
