And last night I dreamt I was beatboxing in this contest, on a tune I didn't even know.
People liked it, but I won nothing. In fact, I don't think the other contestants won stuffs anyways.

Then I dreamt we were all racing in this weird place... It looked like a video game... It was fun :D

And tonight I dreamt we were in school, after a course. This girl in front of me took a weird door instead of just taking the normal stairs. I followed her through that door, and there were secret passages, which lead to a place with tons of pipes and unstable stairs. These stairs, if we didn't fall and killed ourselves while climbing them, lead to a couple of stories higher than the normal "top storie" of the school... It was fun...

Fun dream! :D
I'm feeling cthulhu's tentacles right now..

the linklater dude that made waking life recently made another film, A Scanner Darkly (movie adaptation of Philip K Dick's amazing novel)... incidentally, I thought the only interesting part of wakig life -other than the dope quasi-animation, was when they were talking about Philip K Dick.

here's a summary of some of it (couldnt find the script online.)

Dick once wrote things into a novel, believing them to be pure fiction, only to learn later that they were true. The novel in question is Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said, a book that (according to Linklater) Dick wrote "really fast," as if he was channeling it from somewhere. Dick himself described his "baffling" experience in a 1978 speech titled "How to Build a Universe That Doesn't Fall Apart Two Days Later":

In 1970 I wrote a novel called Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said. One of the characters is a nineteen-year-old girl named Kathy. Her husband's name is Jack. Kathy appears to work for the criminal underground, but later…we discover that actually she is working for the police. She has a relationship going on with a police inspector. The character is pure fiction. Or at least I thought it was.

Anyhow, on Christmas Day of 1970, I met a girl named Kathy--this was after I had finished the novel, you understand. She was nineteen years old. Her boyfriend was named Jack. I soon learned that Kathy was a drug dealer. I spent months trying to get her to give up dealing drugs…. Then, one evening as we were entering a restaurant together, Kathy stopped short and said, "I can't go in." Seated in the restaurant was a police inspector whom I knew. "I have to tell you the truth," Kathy said. "I have a relationship with him"…

In 1974 the novel was published by Doubleday. One afternoon I was talking to my priest…and I happened to mention to him an important scene…in which the character Felix Buckman meets a black stranger at an all-night gas station, and they begin to talk. As I described the scene…my priest became progressively more agitated. At last he said, "That is a scene from the Book of Acts, from the Bible! In Acts, the person who meets the black man on the road is named Philip--your name"…

I went home and read the scene in Acts. Yes, Father Rasch was right; the scene in my novel was an obvious retelling of the scene in Acts...and I had never read Acts… But again the puzzle became deeper. In Acts, the high Roman official who arrests and interrogates Saint Paul is named Felix--the same name as my character. And my character Felix Buckman is a high-ranking police general; in fact, in my novel he holds the same office as Felix in the Book of Acts: the final authority. There is a conversation in my novel which very closely resembles a conversation between Felix and Paul.

Because of this baffling experience, Dick theorized that time is an illusion (not unlike Talbot's holographic paradigm) and he had somehow seen through it. Being religious, Dick guessed that we are all actually existing in 50 A.D. (when the Book of Acts takes place), and that someone has created time to distract us from the fact that God is imminent.

anyways. go see A Scanner Darkly. it's the ultimate drug movie, and also filmed with a similar tracing / alteration of real footage type styleeee. one of my favourite books of all time so I guess I'm biased, but if you don't feel like reading the book, the movie only takes an hour and a half.

Ok, now I remember it! :D (like 2 hours after... Funny.)

I dreamt I was at my cottage in Nominingue, and there were ravens flying... And there was this raven that landed in a tree, and I came close to him. He was very cute, but he didn't look like a "normal" raven... His eyes were huge and pitch black with strange reflexions in it... It's almost like he was wearing glasses...
And I took a picture of him. He was cute.

Then we were back at the cottage, and we were eating live grasshoppers. At first I was quite disgusted, because they were alive and kicking (if they were dead it would be easier to eat them).. But then, after I ate one, I found they were good. So I ate more.
I'm feeling like eating shoggoth right now..

Ok, I had 2 dreams last night. :) Fun stuffs.

********************************
The first one.
I was in a dome of glass, at night... Kinda like the Biosphere, with a metal structure... Inside were lots of great tubes, of different flashy colours, and some rooms too. We had come here to play futuristic airfights. We were about 30-40 humans in the Dome.
Then we chose our vehicles. I had the smaller one. Hmm, it looked a bit like the Skycar, but smaller, more compact and light. Other dudes had big machines, some round, some shape-shifting. They could be 4-5 in one of them.

Then the fight started. I was flying everywhere, upside down, backwards, on the side... I wasn't very powerful, having the smallest laser canons, but I was very fast, and I could sneak everywhere.
I killed one of the biggest machine, with a sustained laser beam that I shot while trying to be out of range of other vehicles. But then, some other big shape-shifting machine decided to kill me, and only me. It would follow me everywhere, trying to shoot me. I had to use my best flying skills to escape the beams. I had to spin around and hide between tubes... But I grew tired of that. So I flew to the side of the Dome, and passed through a window. I was now outside, and the giant machine couldn't follow me, because it was too big to pass through the windows, it would crash on the metal structure...
Outside the Dome was some guy, with a machine only slightly bigger than mine. He was getting chased around by another machine, almost too big to pass through the window. So I concentrated my fire on that chasing machine, and killed it.

Now the remaining guy in the small machine became my friend. And together, we flew back to the Dome, and kicked the evil big machine's ass. Then the fight ended, and we all came out of our machines (we were all still alive lol), and we drove back home in cars and buses. I was in a bus with some friends, and it was cool.

************************
Now, the 2nd one.
I was in my house, and I was younger, maybe 10-12 years-old. My dad was mad at me, but I don't remember why. Something about not cleaning stuffs... I only remember that I was really scared, and that I had to get out of the house, because if he found me, he would beat me up. So I went in my closet, in my room. Some cats were with me, and I talked to them and they told me not to worry, that they had a plan.

So I climbed up my closet up to the ceilling. There, there was a trapdoor. I opened it and climbed through it. I was now in a small room, dark, in the attic. Beside me was a small sliding door. I opened it, and found that it was full of comfy sheets. According to the cats, I had to pass through it to escape. "Allrite" I said, and started to crawl on top of the sheets, since there was enough space. It wsa fun to crawl on sheets, very comfy. But I was worried that my dad would find me. I thought about staying there and sleeping, but that would only delay the moment where I would either escape, or get beaten up.

So I continued crawling on sheets, and then, suddenly, the sheets dropped on an incline. I slid down on a slide made of sheets. Very fun. I landed in a pile of sheets, beside the washing machine. Now I was very scared, because my dad could come anytime to wash clothes, and if he opened the door, he would see me. So I waited, and when I heard nothing, I ran out of the house by the backdoor.
And, hmm, I think that's it :)
I'm feeling cuddlypoof right now..

Hmm, had a dream 2 days ago, but it wasn't very fun. Well, at the beginning maybe, but not at the end.
I dreamt Oli and me were having fun, and then the room started to get quite hot, because of the "action" ;) So Oli decided to open the door to let cool air run in. So he opened the door, and outside the room there was Mom and this guy from Hydro Québec just staring at us "WTF"-like.
So we freaked out and closed the door.
That was it.
Not fun.

What's the most disturbing is having a nightmare with people you really know in it. Especially when they're bad to you during the dream. I can't help, but I tend to beware of the person a bit after.

What I really hate that I tend to get fairly often is sleep paralysis/old hag syndrome. I get one of those at least once every 3 months, and have gotten them so regularly all my life that, thinking back on things, a lot of nightmares that I'd had as a kid were probably old hag syndrome. The worst for me is that my brain when I sleep never really "shuts down" the way it's supposed to; I dream in color and I can read clearly. It's been happening since I was 10-11 years old, though it was worse back then. If I'd read a book before, and was re-reading it, I could continue reading it in my sleep and when I woke up just skipped ahead to the page I left off at in my dream. The shit part about that is that when I wake up from vivid/emotional dreams (or nightmares), my brain hasn't always re-adjusted to "awake" mode, so I occasionally get mild hallucinations from whatever I was dreaming, be it seeing things, smelling, touching, hearing, etc.. I've had dreams where a cat bit my hand so hard in the dream that I woke up, and my hand was hurting for a good 15 minutes after. I've had nightmares where, after waking up, I could see the "creatures" out of the corner of my eye, feel some kind of liquid/drool/blood/slime on my hands when I woke up that wasn't there, but even looking at my hands and knowing that there was nothing, I still felt it like there was something invisible on me.

Dreams are fucked up.
I'm feeling fat and sassy right now..

Ouh yah, that happens to me sometimes too! Once I dreamt I jumped very high in the air, and when I landed, I *felt* the shock and jerked and woke up. Funny stuff.
N'ah, I love dreams, they're so weird and fun and otherworldly!

*** Other dream of me. ***
I dreamt we were at our cottage at Nominingue once more... And this time, there were huge deerflies that kept following us. I was pissed. I crushed 2 under a chair, but there was *that* one who kept bugging me. So I went into the microwave and started it. "The microwave light will kill her" I thought, "but I'll survive because I'm bigger".
And I did. But I was all dried up and wrinkled because I had no more water in my body. But then after I got better.
I'm feeling mrr'rzzzr'r'rzzzz right now..

The dream that I made that marked me the most I made many years ago, I was still a kid back then, yet this dream is clear in my mind like I if I had made it just a few minutes ago.

My dream started in my bed. I was still lying in my bed when I realized that there were two strange humanoids that just entered my room they were with huge black eyes and very pale skin that look something between shriveled discolored skin, cephalopod skin and muscular yet partly with necrosis skin. They had no noses (kindda like a partly mummified face) and they were completely hairless and of no specific gender.
I am saying this even if I could not see them very well, because in my dream I was pretending to be asleep afraid that they were going to realize that I was awake. They stayed in my room for what seemed to last 10 or 20 minutes and then left after having exchange signs and strange sounds that I believe to this day was them talking about me.
After they left I decided to continue to pretend I was asleep for a couple of minutes then I rose(this is probably when I really woke up) to try to figure out if they were real or not...but I was unable to make sure if I had dreamt or if it was real.

To this day my logical mind tells me that it was a dream but, since I never actually had the impression of waking up and that it happened while I was in my bed I still have lingering doubt that it might actually have been real and not a dream
I'm feeling dreaming in r'lyeh right now..
