heh, we're overpaid cause not many people can do it.

the only place you can learn how to do it is at a movie theater, but few theaters train projectionists..

It's not because we have crappy jobs and because big companies exploit people that the SAQ has to do the same thing, you know.

Some top executives that does nothing but taking "decisions" at the top of Big Company Co. gets a big fucking paycheck every week for doing absolutely nothing, but you're complaining about some students, mothers and whoever that are lucky to get a slightly bigger paycheck than yours ?

I don't see the logic in here.

And no, they don't "deserve" it because they got to the top of the food chain. You are born in the top chain, or you struggle all your miserable life trying to reach it.

i dont know, but i'm gonna be a total bitch to the workers from now on

the workers had total right to strike. IT was the corporation trying to fuck over the working people.

plenty of people work minimum wage in far worse conditions and ZERO perks
i know because i was one of them

at a starting rate of 17$ per hour, im not feeling too sorry for them

amanda they went on strike because barely anyone is hired fulltime, negating them for perks and benefits.

Also when you work for the SAQ you don't work for a specific one, you work where they send you. If you got a job at the SAQ they might send you to the west island everyday, then to laval... thats ridiculous.

Also they have high salaries because of the extensive training a lot of them have to do concerning wine knowledge.

jeff, if it's so horrible that they never get full time status, and that they get shuffled around so much, why the hell did they take the job?? Every one of those employees was hired knowing that they wouldn't be full time employees.. ALSO knowing they wouldn't be working at the same location every day. Boo fucking Hoo for them.

Don't like your job, quit and get a better one.

I don't know any good jobs. And if I had the opportunity of fighting for better salary and social advantages, I'd do it anytime. Because there are no good jobs, unless you're a the very top of the food chain. You have the people who owns everything, and the rest, who are working under their command.

If we lived in a good capitalist system, people would be free to open their own businesses, doing what they love to do, whatever what might that be. But now it is hard, very hard. You have to be competitive, and you end up living only for your little business. Or you go get yourself a job in a company, where they decide what you do of the majority of your life time. I find that highly illogical, and a big reason why people are morons/stressed/sad/depressed/go out fucking everything that moves on friday nights. This society is not sane you know, me first.

well if you are a student a part time 17$ an hour job is fucking gold. If you are supporting yourself or your family on that then it's not so hot.

Fuck man, go live in Asia or Africa for a day or two. Look man your typing on a computer, don't tell me your not content with your living conditions... If your not happy making 17$ an hour putting a fucking bottle in a bag every 5 minutes then you have a serious problem. Would you rather be making 1/2 a dollar a day for 12 hours of making Nike shoes without bathroom breaks... Honestly, I think everyone on this board lives in much better conditions then that so suck it up and punch the little numbers on the cash register, put the bottle in the bag and SMILE cuz your in the top 20% of richest people in the world...

yeah if they cant get full time then TOO FUCKING BAD. you get a new job that gives you what you want. what did this strike achieve for these guys? fuck SQUAT!!!!! they used up their strike pay, got ZERO public support, and who WOULD give em support? harassing customers who went to the few outlets that WERE open, yeah man GREAT fucking tactics there. and now theyre back to work and the stupid management is saying theyre gonna hire MORE people now, instead of getting rid of employees and giving better conditions to the remainder... what a fuckarow. its a lose-lose situation. it was totally about being lazy and getting money all along. as soon as they used up their strike pay and the csn started paying them 50 bucks less a week to strike, all of a sudden they were ready to come to the table....negotiations were ready to be made....FUUUUUUCK OFF WITH THAT SHIT.

Bassic, I don't even work there, so whatever...

Unions are managed like mafias, but they are necessary to stop companies from making Quebec a third world country again. The problem is not the unions or the companies, they are only there because something is deeply fucked up in our system. Too much competition is no better than lack of competition, when it comes to economy.

Btw, money and computers don't make you happier. It only does if you care a lot about those things, which I really don't. They are certainly usefull, but only tools for bigger and more important things.

Quebec is full of fucking whiners, all of them. Too lazy to go to school to get a decent job, but plenty of energy to whine about how crappy their jobs (which dont even require a high school diplom for christ's sake)are.

Well I don't know about the rest, but I'm against the actual of capitalism, it is sub-optimal.

And actually there's a lot of people that are serious about their careers in Quebec...I know a lot.
