actually signal treatment, session recording, and mixing is something I could quite easily touch... as for composition, and chord progression, that's a whole different topic that takes years to learn, so I'd rather not touch that as it's a can of worms...

@screwhead - those videos are pretty good and have a lot of information... they don't answer when you ask them questions though, and they won't look at your projects and suggest ways of improving them technically or making them more efficient...

I would recommend a course. But if there's something specific someone wants to know in a lesson or two, I can do that also

actually the french and the irish have more in common than you might think... we're tradionally allies in our fight against the british, sometimes french forces allied with the irish... we share a common culture, in that the bretons are of celtic origin, and have similar traditional music... cork city (where i'm from) even has a french quarter due to the number of french settlers there, which continues even today... the cork accent even derives from the french accent...

the difference is that the irish were under english occupation for 800 years, and endured hardship and famine, forcing them to move throughout the world, hence the large number of people of irish descent in the developed world...

well, i'm in a foreign country with no job, no money, and no visa... i have a degree and experience, but it's useless to me right now... I also have taught music production before in Ireland, and liked it quite a lot, and actually found it was something I was good at.. so I gotta utilize whatever skills I have I guess...

I agree, I'm normally a little lazy with completing projects once they're rendered... I need to go back and tweak it a bit... I think even a bit more reverb on the snare would work for me... personally i like the 606 snare sound for that, nice and mellow... something harder would take away from it IMHO... but you're right, it's a little dry
