Colbert lovers win NASA name game

NASA's online contest to name a new room at the International Space Station has gone awry after the name "Colbert" beat out NASA's four suggested options.

The space agency had asked the public to help name the new room, to be launched later this year.

NASA's mistake was allowing write-ins.

Comedian Stephen Colbert urged viewers of his Comedy Central show, The Colbert Report, to write in his name — and they complied, with 230,539 votes.

That clobbered Serenity, one of the NASA choices, by more than 40,000 votes.

Nearly 1.2 million votes were cast by the time the contest ended Friday.

NASA reserves the right to choose an appropriate name.

Agency spokesman John Yembrick said NASA will decide in April, but will give top vote-getters "the most consideration."

Seeing how people are sick of reading certain threads on this board, could there be a possibility of ignoring a thread entirely?

For instance, I fucking hate that god damn "Last" thread in the silly games section. I never read it, and I never post in it.. Could I simply tag it somehow, say with a yellow-button that read "Fuck this Thread" somewhere, or perhaps in a way similar to the way we ignore users?

Perhaps, we could also ignore threads started by particular users.
I know I could just NOT click on it (like I usually do), but it would really remove a lot of stress from my life.
Just a thought.

Well that's not very fair to say. The common or contemporary idea of a third world country is one that is under-developed. A country that has a subway system can hardly be considered under-developed.
Besides, do you really consider countries like China and Russia or Brazil (among others) to be a part of the 3rd World?
