We're hoping to offer all of the advantages of events in clubs (stability, quality setup, booze) while staying away from all the crap everyone hates (meat market atmosphere, barstars, shitty music). We do look to Europe for inspiration and hopefully we'll be able to create this kind of atmosphere with our first and subsequent events.

Apparently the UFC worked with TKO so TKO could use the Bell Centre 2 months ago. The rumors right now put the Montreal title defense as being in May.

I run a MMA links website so people can stay up to date with MMA news:

Harder is better ... while you may not know Flim yet, trust me when I say he's gonna become a major star in the next year or two. Catch him now before he blows up, you won't regret it!

We're going all out to create a wicked environment for this party ... even if this event doesn't have a typical 'theme' like the other Hard as Fuck events, you can just assume the theme is 'fucking awesome' cause that's what the event is gonna be!!!

I second what Le D said.

For the most part, people go to raves because of the music, and because of the environment. It's a good alternative to other meat-market atmospheres. The drugs and all that ... All in all the % of people 'under the influence', by alcohol or drugs, is probably equal or even lower in the rave scene than your standard bar scene.

People pay way too much attention to the drugs thing.

And beer. And lets not forget our brand new visuals setup. I think people are really gonna be blown away. This event will not only be a treat for your ears, but for your eyes as well. And of course for your liver, as it gets flushed with toxins from alcohol.

GO TOXINS!

Well I wouldn't go that far ... every HARDER event will be just as Hard as Fuck as any other Hard as Fuck. I think with all the extras these events will be even cooler than many of the previous HAFs. Just smaller, for now :)

Yeah Na doesn't like us ... it's okay, I can understand. Although we've had our ish with NTK and Jester crews and now we're all good buds ... perhaps for Betty's wedding we'll be able to have a few drinks and smooth over the past. Past that, the attendance for HAF has been going up with the exception of 5. And of course this one because the venue capacity's like 150 :) But the plan is to start small and grow in a sustainable way so that we can provide people a reliable dose of hard dance music.

Yep I hear you there ... the promotion for this event will definately not be as intense as it has been in the past, and we've gotten an amazing dj that isn't known too well in montreal (yet! He's fucking awesome). We're imagining between the two there won't be a crazy push of people, and based on reaction we'll adjust the promotional plan to make sure it's not retardo packed!

Cool man, then we'll have you in on the next one as planned ... DrNyarlathotep, this is the start of a regular 'club' event (and by that I mean at venues that serve alcohol). The focus is less on massive international djs and more on testing out new decor and extras for the next huge HAF event which is coming sometime late 2007. That's why we're starting small again and building our way up!

HARDER is a new concept in clubbing, combining the aggressive music and all night energy of raves with the full bar and quality establishments of the club scene. We are here to tear down the walls between the two genres and create something better ... something HARDER!

Note this is not a crazy noisecore grindcore speedcore party. I wouldn't even classify it as a hardcore party. Like all past Hard as Fucks, we want to put the emphasis on HARDER music, not FASTER music.

I can't find 6 foot cables in Montreal ... ebay all the sellers are scammers and won't let you combine shipping on multiple cables so it's like 15 bucks a cable. So as I'm an ignoramus about the city i've been living in for 2 years, I need to come and ask here :-p But thanks for the advice, gonna check out addison's... thanks peeps

Hi Guys hoping y'all can help me out here since this is for a pretty bonkers project I'm workin on for our next event. I need a large number of HDB15 M/F extension cables ... also known as VGA Monitor extension cables. Do you know anywhere in montreal that's good for selling cables at a decent price? I don't really wanna have to pay more than 10 bucks for a 6-10 foot cable.

Even though Airwave has never been to Montreal specifically, I do beleive he headlined an E.R.O. I can't say it enough, this guy is one of the largest trance djs in the world, massive quality.

This is sturdy and reliable gear, CDJ rack plays burnt cds without problems and i've never had skipping issues even with my shit-kicked cds. Mixer has no static problems or crossfader issues. Upgrading to 1000s so i don't need em any more!

Specs for all gear:

starts
• Built-in tap beat (BPM) counter
