i smoked chronic-ally for about 8 years then one day just was like fuck it, curled up in my bed and didn't go out for a few days. couldn't sleep for shit. then i spent about a month without smoking a joint, got SO fucking insane due to the change in my brain and metabolism that I actually started DOING things. In that one month i started doing nights, started a record label, got a new job, got a promotion in the job I already had, and basically accomplished more than I ever thought possible. Then I smoked a joint about a month later and got WAY more stoned than I ever had, I'll never forget, I was at Aria hallucinating the fuck out of the shit, seeing bubbles coming out of the walls, and so high that I had to sit down against the wall for like, 3 hours. That day I learned what a bad trip being stoned can be and ever since then I've smoked way way less, but ya it's still hard to stop entirely it just smells SO good. right now it's 4:36 AM and i have to work tomorrow and FUCK at times like this I always jones for a joint.. the fact is if i smoked one though, not only would I not get to sleep right away (cause I'd lie there stoned in my bed listening to music for like, 2 hours).. but I would probably get al lparanoid and think I was having a heart attack, AND i wouldn't be able to get out of bed tomorrow morning. so ya, it's possible to stop. weed is bad. it's a powerful drug, you realize only AFTER you stop smoking it constantly.

Now somewhere in the black mountain hills of dakota
There lived a young boy named rocky raccoon
And one day his woman ran off with another guy
Hit young rocky in the eye, rocky didn’t like that
He said I’m gonna get that boy
So one day he walked into town
Booked himself a room in the local saloon

Rocky raccoon checked into his room
Only to find gideon’s bible
Rocky had come equipped with a gun
To shoot off the legs of his rival
His rival it seems had broken his dreams
By stealing the girl of his fancy
Her name was magil and she called herself lil
But everyone knew her as nancy

Now she and her man who called himself dan
Were in the next room at the hoe down
Rocky burst in and grinning a grin
He said danny boy this is a showdown
But daniel was hot - he drew first and shot
And rocky collapsed in the corner

Now the doctor came in stinking of gin
And proceeded to lie on the table
He said rocky you met your match
And rocky said, doc it’s only a scratch
And I’ll be better, I’ll be better doc as soon as I am able

Now rocky raccoon he fell back in his room
Only to find gideon’s bible
Gideon checked out and he left it no doubt
To help with good rocky’s revival

DEEKLINE :

Deekline, aka Nick Annand, has been collecting records since the age of 10. Initially inspired by early funk and electro, he moved onto hardcore and then the Jungle scene.

In 1999, he set up his own label, Rat Records, to release his debut 'Don't Smoke (Da Reefer).' It sold 20,000 copies on the underground then, licensed to East West, it went onto sell a further 150,000 hitting the No. 11 spot in the National Charts. This success bought constant DJ work and enabled Nick to PA his record for two years, making him an established name on the underground scene.

After his success with 'Don't Smoke', Deekline's sound and production style moved on to Breakbeat, a form of music that was still, at that time, very much in its infancy.

Working closely with London's Flex FM, (a radio station that he had been playing on for two years and the biggest pirate radio station throughout the garage scene [ www.flexfm.net ] Nick started his own garage influenced breakbeat night, Beatfreaks, which began to shape the sound of London's underground club scene. Since then he has also set up Thursday Night Throwdown and Breakbeat Connection, two hugely successful events, which are currently establishing themselves as some of the most exciting club nights in London (see press for details).

Other Djing work has been organised by Faze 2 which has taken Nick to all major festivals in the UK allowing him to DJ in most of Europe, as well as a 10-state tour of the US and an 8-city tour of Australia.

Nick's productions have been licensed to compilations ranging from Fabric Live to Pure Garage. His enormous official remix of Ol' Dirty Bastard's 'Got Your Money' and an anthemic collaboration with Freq Nasty, 'Every Posse & Crew', and now '4x4x4' have proved that he is a producer of significant merit.

In 2003 DJ Mag tipped him as one of the stars to look out for. Now well into 2004 he continues to press forward. His two labels Rat Records and Hardcore Beats are going from strength to strength, with new releases hitting the shops every 3 weeks, representing the cream of new talent from around the globe. The compilation 'Hardcore Beats Straight Off The Streets' mixed by Deekline and Ollywood was well received by both press and the record buying public.

Other projects have included collaborations with Rennie Pilgrem (Ripping Up Wax), MC Skibadee & Wizard (Man A Man) and remix work alongside writing partner Wizard for Jason Sparks (Secret Place) and for the godfather of electro, Arthur Baker. (2003) along with his partner Wizard, DEEKLINE has been an instrumental force in the international breaks and booty scene for years, now getting his dues overseas and the world over.

DEEKLINE & WIZARD

2004 saw Deekline & Wizard reclaim the title as one of breaks most innovative and exciting prospects with the release of Breaks Beats and Blonde's on Botchit and Scarper

2005 has seen things go from strength to strength with live appearances on Radio one and XFM, one of the best remix's of the year with Armand Van Heldens MY MY MY (Zane Lowes tune of the week on Radio One) a huge tour of Australia and North America and now a German number one single with the remix of The Prodigy's Out Of Space on Superstar Records.

Deekline and Wizard are now making huge waves in the US by pushing their ‘booty breaks’ inspired breakbeat sound and already look set to dominate Miami next year.

2006 is going to see the release of eagerly awaited album number 2 for the boys and will include vocals from vocalists such as Yolanda, Top Cat, DJ Assualt, Tenor Fly, Wiley and Ivory

Together with their “Bootybouncers” alter ego encompassing D&W production with UK grime & Bass/Electro the future looks bright for the booty-loving duo.

well my agenda won't be necessarily sappy slow dance love songs, more like tracks that are good, but also relate somehow to love, be it the love between a man and a woman, a mother and a child, between brothers, between a man or woman towards all creatures great and small, a man towards a man, a woman towards a woman, a grandfather to his grandson, a man to a small boy, a small man to a large boy, a creature towards a small great and large or a brother and a grandfish.

one track i'll definitely play is Joe Cocker's WOMAN TO WOMAN. bo. that's where the sample from California / Dre & 2pac comes from, just in case y'all slept through grade 4.

this is Donna O'Neill's eulogy for Mike i thought it was really nice and also has a good message so here it is for anyone that missed it:

Mike was a sweet person, loving , sensitive , emotional, naturally kind and
a lover
of music and fun. I found him to be bright and enthusiastic .He knew alot
about a lot of things. He was interesting to talk to.
He was a convincer. He could sell anything. When he was young , he was able
to sell a teaching doll that taught you how to tie
your shoe laces and do up your bottons. He sold it to an elderly woman
convincing her it could help her when she forgot.
Once Mike and Jen had a lemonde stand outside and mike made the most money
because he was wheeling
and dealing with all the people and cars as they passed. he would never give
up, he would continue to lower his price as they drove away,
yelling out deals until the cars were out of site. He had soul.
He loved animals. We had many strays boarding at our house. He loved
bear,shilo,winny and smokey are pets.
He enjoyed the comforate that they would give him. He like to play outside
with them and lay on the couch with them and watch tv.
He loved his music, he was a dj and he enjoyed playing at clubs and making
music with his friends.
He like music from the 80's most i think. Some of his favorites were the
beattles, coldplay, the animals, the
rolling stones and he would blast the music in the house and in the car. We
will miss his load music.
Mike and his friends were discovering all of the old music together. It was
great because this is the music I
grew up with and I was able to enjoy it again with him. We used to sing
along in the car and sometime
we would show each other our dance moves.

He loved his family very much. He was so proud of Jennifer and missed her
when she left home.
He enjoyed spending time with his father and Debbie. He like to go out to
the pub or play music with his dad
and he loved having long talks with Debbie. Her love and understanding was
appreciated by him.
He had a unique relationship with each person in the family.
I would like to introduce his family.
Jennifer his sister and her boyfriend andre
Dave & Debbie his father and stepmother.
Brian & Sheelah his uncle and aunt.
My brother-in-law Robert Mc cullough and his family. his cousins

He loved his friends so much. His friends were his life. He loved Steve,
Genv, Valli,Tricia, Dave,Sean,andrew,Pat, Chelse
,pascale,Kristy,Jeff,mike,ben,christina, jonathan,yoss,ren,lee,garrett..
He loved and care about so many .
He was very sensitve to them. he worried about them. He was always running
off to help someone.

Alot of you say i was a good mother and i did everything i could to help
Mike. If that is true then why did he die.
Maybe idid everything i could or maybe i didn't or maybe i didn't do the
right things.
But i know that one person helping another is not enough.
So I want each and everyone of you to stop and think of how you can stop
this tragedy from happening again
to someone else and their families or even to yourself. Don't do things that
are wrong...... to yourself or others.
If you need help then get it, be courageous!
Be kind, even if someone is unkind, be kind. That will encourage the loving
soul in you
and the loving soul in the person who was unkind to you. It can be as simple
as a kind word or taking a few moments to listen
or even going to the extreme of an intervention. Be a big brother or big
sister.
Don't turn your backs on the troubled, never encourage or enable someone to
do something that might hurt them.
You need to Care more , Do more and Love more! Do this in Mike's honor and
for your honor.

I want to thank all of you that helped mike.
i also want to thank everyone for coming and sending food and kind words our
way. The efforts made by everyone
has been wonderful.

And last but not least I want to thank my son for helping me see what is
important in life,
for all his love and enthusaim and for giving me joy and happiness.

and ...
Mike , i am still waiting for you to come home dear. i miss you.

-Donna O'Neill

Donna also took a while to read many of your comments from mike's msn and from [ rave.ca ] so in a way a lot of you all delivered the eulogy also.

As for right now though

Or catch you downtown on Broadway browsing
Whoever got the most bags get followed
Give it up or get you in the old hag hollow
Smash

I hurt myself today
to see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
the only thing that's real
the needle tears a hole
the old familiar sting
try to kill it all away
but I remember everything
what have I become?
my sweetest friend
everyone I know
goes away in the end
and you could have it all
my empire of dirt

I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
upon my liar's chair
full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
beneath the stains of time
the feelings disappear
you are someone else
I am still right here

what have I become?
my sweetest friend
everyone I know
goes away in the end
and you could have it all
my empire of dirt

I will let you down
I will make you hurt

if I could start again
a million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

Wish You Were Here floyd

So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have you found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

DO YOu Feel like we do -frampton

Woke up this morning with a wine glass in my hand
Whose wine, what wine, where the hell did I dine?
Must have been a dream I don’t believe where I’ve been
Come on - you wanna do it again?
Do you, you feel like I do?
Do you, you feel like I do?
My friend got busted just the other day
They said don’t walk, don’t walk, don’t walk away
He drove into a taxi bent the boot hit the back
Had to play some music otherwise he’d crack
Do you, you feel like I do?
Do you, you feel like I do?

Must have been a dream I don’t believe where I’ve been
Come on - you wanna do it again?
Do you, you feel like I do?
Do you, you feel like I do?

Down in the Hole - stones

Will all your money
Buy you forgiveness
Keep you from sickness
Or keep you from cold?

Will all your money
Keep you from madness
Keep you from sadness
When you're down in the hole?

'Cause you'll be down in the gutter
You'll be bummin' for cigarettes
Bummin' for nylons
In the American Zone

You'll be down in the hole
Yeah, down in the hole
No escape from trouble
Nowhere to go

Down in the gutter
Beggin' for cigarettes
Beggin' forgiveness
All that you know

Down in the hole
After diggin' the trenches
Looking for cover and findin' out there ain't nowhere nowhere to go
Nowhere nowhere nowhere to go

None of your money
Will buy you forgiveness
None of your jewelry
None of your gold

Your black market cigarettes
Your American nightclubs
Ah, they've got nowhere left

Something for nothing
All of your friends gone
Something for nothing
That's all that you know

There's something down in the hole
Down down down in the hole
There's something down down down down in the hole

Elvis Costello
Waiting for The End of The World

The man from the television crawled into the train.
I wonder who he's gonna stick it in this time.
Everyone was looking for a little entertainment,
So they'll probably pull his hands off when they find out his name.
And then they shut down the power all along the line,
And we got stuck in the tunnel where no lights shine.
They got to touchin' all the girls were to scared to call out.
Nobody was saying anything at all.

We were waiting for the end of the world,
Waiting for the end of the world,
Waiting for the end of the world.
Dear Lord I sincerely hope you're coming
'Cause you really started something.

Things got back to normal as the train began to roll again.
We got to the station about twenty minutes later.
The legendary hitchhiker says that he knows where it's at.
Now he'd like to go to Spain or somewhere like that,
With his two-tone Bible and his funny cigarettes,
His suntan lotion and his castanets.

He was waiting for the end of the world,
Waiting for the end of the world,
Waiting for the end of the world.
Dear Lord I sincerely hope you're coming
'Cause you really started something.

And then the bride, the groom, the congregation and the priest
All got onto the train when we were three stations east, yeah.
Hiding from a scandal in the national press,
They had been trying to get married since they stole the wedding dress.
You may see them drowning as you stroll along the beach,
But don't throw out the lifeline till they're clean out of reach.

Waiting for the end of the world

WATCHING THE DETECTIVES elvis costello

Nice girls not one with a defect,
Cellophane shrink-wrapped, so correct.
Red dogs under illegal legs.
She looks so good that he gets down and begs.

She is watching the detectives.
Ooh, he’s so cute!
She is watching the detectives
When they shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot.
They beat him up until the teardrops start,
But he can’t be wounded ’cause he’s got no heart.

Long shot of that jumping sign,
Invisible shivers running down my spine.
Cut the baby taking off her clothes.
Close-up of the sign that says,we never close
You snatch tune, you a match a cigarette,
She pulls the eyes out with a face like a magnet.
I don’t know how much more of this I can take.
She’s filing her nails while they’re dragging the lake.

You think you’re alone until you realize you’re in it.
Now fear is here to stay. love is here for a visit.
They call it instant justice when it’s past the legal limit.
Someone’s scratching at the window. I wonder who is it?
The detectives come to check if you belong to the parents
Who are ready to hear the worst about their daughter’s disappearance.
Though it nearly took a miracle to get you to stay,
It only took my little fingers to blow you away.

Just like watching the detectives.
Don’t get cute!
It’s just like watching the detectives.
I get so angry when the teardrops start,
But he can’t be wounded ’cause he’s got no heart.
Watching the detectives.
It’s just like watching the detectives.
